JR.com has the wb sets cheaper with free shipping and coupon TURKEY10 takes 10 off 75 plus I threw in some discounted black friday blu rays in to get to the 75 dollars. They also have the Pepe Le pew DVD for 4.99 .

The coupon could be limited time offer.

Like Costco and Sam's club, actually Sams has had alot of WB sets since summer for 14.99 but I'am to lazy to post or because I already had them and there does not seem to be much intrest in Sams here.

Thanks for the code. The sale prices on the Warner sets seem so random at J and R. All the Warner Gangster sets are cheap @ $14.99 except Vol 1 is $16.99. Errol Flynn Westerns is $14.99. Other Flynn sets are regular price. Forbidden Hollywood Vol 2 is $14.99. Other volumes regular price. Volume 3 of Bette Davis is $14.99 other volumes regular price and so forth.

Correction as the sets go out of stock the items are removed from the sale.

I picked up the Reagan set for $13 shipped in the Marketplace. I like KNUTE ROCKNE and KINGS ROW, but not sure about the others and not a big fan of Ronnie. Yet the extras on these Signature Collections are so great I thought it was worth less than three bucks a movie.

Our Sam's club rarely has any 'deals' and has recently scaled back their movie section to about half of it's former size.

WB Gangsters 2-4 were 19.99 at Sam's last week


Picked up Greta (blind buy, but for over 2 bucks a movie, way not)
Val Lewton I picked at buy.com for 15.

I have one DVD from the Thin Man series I got used, but haven't watched yet (big surprise) I don't know if I should bite or not on Thin Man. These things tend to go on sale every year or they end up in the hands of resellers. Might wait for a better price since I know it will go in my unwatched pile for some time to come. I have a bunch of these WB sets, none of which I paid more than 12 or 13 dollars for (except for Lewton, but I knew I wanted that one). I am strictly basing my decision on price, since almost all these things are blind buys to me.

I was there today and they were putting more WB sets. Picked up The Joan Crawford collection for 14.98. They also had Katharine Hepburn: 100th Anniversary Collection for 14.98 that I might go back for tomorrow. I will try to note what they have at the one near me and post it.

I received The Thin Man set from Amazon and the manufacturer's packaging is so poor that the majority of the discs were floaters and badly scratched with one disc even coming apart. I'm getting a replacement but I suggest, if possible, you find a store with this on sale and in stock so you can examine it before buying.

I haven't checked to make sure, but I don't believe either the GARBO or THIN MAN sets have ever been this low. Of course they may go lower at some point, but they may go OOP too. Both of these have rarely been discounted compared to other WB box sets, but maybe they have excess stock now because of that.

JWSTL, I had that trouble a few years ago with the ERROL FLYNN Signature Vol. 1. I had to exchange four floater sets that Amazon shipped before finally giving up and just keeping the fifth floater. It turned out to be just one disc and it wasn't badly scratched.

Busby Berkeley Collection (got second collection off half for around 8 bucks shipped during a free shipping promo last year)
Clark Gable Collection
a Taxi pen for .84 to get the 10 off.

Each of these shipped was around 13 bucks. Thin Man is OOS so I may not get that one, but since Amazon charges tax, that collection was pushing 20 bucks and decided to pass buying from Amazon..

There were a few others I might have got, but I doubt I would have reached another 75 bucks,so I decided to wait.

I got all the Gangster sets that were priced $14.99 and the Forbidden Hollywood set that was $14.99. Maybe I should have added the Gangster set 1 and used $10 off to complete the set. But I wasn't thinking

That's been my recent history with J&R so I stopped ordering from them. They cancel without explanation and if you check later, some or all of the items will be back in stock. No thanks.

That's odd that they canceled those sets. You didn't order The Garbo set which I would think is the most popular and scarce.. I haven't heard anything and I unfortunately used paypal and they charged me already. They charged paypal immediately whether they ship or not. I wish I knew that. I'll have to file a complaint if I don't get a refund if they don't ship.
I had decent experiences with JR in the past so I hope the fulfill my order.
