They just dropped this set down to $16.99, 'A day late and a dollar short'

Not "Warner Bros sets" but a couple of dvd tv sets from classic WB stars are currently for sale at great prices on Amazon - THE BARBARA STANWYCK SHOW VOL 1 is $15.99 - VOL. 2 is $12.99 ( lowest I've ever seen either) and season one of Jane Wyman's hit 80s soap FALCON CREST is a bargain at $13.99 (note it's highly unlikely future seasons will be commercially released given season two is a Warners Archive set).

Martin Scorsese Collection (After Hours/Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore/Goodfellas/Mean Streets/Who's That Knocking At My Door?) (1985) - $16.99 (Warner)

The Doris Day and Rock Hudson Comedy Collection (Pillow Talk / Lover Come Back / Send Me No Flowers) - $14.49 (Universal) = UPDATE: Earlier this month, it was down for a day for $11.99, so scratch this one off, it may go down lower....

BN.com is selling the Flynn set for $31.99, 8 bucks cheaper than Amazon. Plus, they have a 30% coupon, bringing the total down to 22 bucks!

That's a great price on the Flynn set,my favorite box set that I bought this year!(Until I get the America Lost and Found: The BBS Story from Criterion.)

I wish the Greta Garbo box would go down in price!

Keep an eye on Amazon for the Garbo box , a month ago I scored a copy thru the marketplace(abundatrade) for $12.11.
The description was that it was a little banged up ,but all the discs and artwork were MINT and the box had a few dings ,nothing really major I have seen worst on new sets i have aquired from Deep Discount.

$12.11 for Garbo? That's fantastic...the lowest I have seen it price was around $54 or so and I picked it up for that much. Garbo Signature, Garland signature and the Astaire/Rogers Ultimate set, the Doris Day set (1) and the Abbot & Costello set are expensive.

As for the box, even trying to keep then in my cinema shrine all tidy up and nice but the slipcases they are not thick, so it's easy to get a bit banged up.

You need to login with a WBinsider login email address/account for the prices to show up, at least thats the way it worked for me.

I picked up the first two Gangster sets for $17.38 shipped after a $5 Cart coupon I had in my spam box from them. Check your spam for the $5 cart coupons. Search for "Special Bonus Savings". Ignore the expiration date, I have ones from July that are still working.

Why do you need to call them? The price is 14.99 unless you are a Rewards member and then you get an additional 25% off. Beware, the discount only applies to 5 items per order so if you want more than 5 place multiple orders. And there's free shipping on all orders so that's a non-factor.

You haven't read the thread carefully enough. The prices were coming up as $11.24 in the search screen, then bumping up to $14.99 in the checkout screen. It wasn't clear that the lower price applies to rewards members, and several people reckoned that it was just a glitch in their system.

Just want to confirm that yes, signing up for a free account gets you an additional 25% off... so the 4 volumes of Warner Gangsters will now be making their way into my DVD collection. Amazing prices!

Finally....it worked. I logged into my rewards membership (which is free):

I then clicked on the Harry Potter banner below the page for the 25% off which then took me to the wbshop site. This essentially led to the lower prices kicking in.

The code may only work if you have five items...if you are looking for cheap items to round off your five items...the DC Blu-rays are pretty cheap (Green Lantern, Batman, Justice League are $6). But heck, there are more than enough of classic box sets at $11.24 to get your five and then use the code and you get $5 off.

Not sure if SMODCAST still works as a code, but you may want to try it for $5 off.

Did you have five items in your cart by any chance? I'm trying to test this theory that you may need five...so far those with success with the coupon had five items.

Earlier today I used one of these $5 coupons on one item.

I wish they had THE THIN MAN series for 11.99! And what's with Forbidden Hollywood 1 being left out of these internet wide WB sales this week?
