Thanks for the heads up on this set! I checked a local BL, and there was a small Halloween display with the holiday stuff (NOT with the rest of the DVD's) with only 1 one these TCM sets in it.

Went today to see if any of the newer titles are showing up. Nope! The *one* very small display (50-60 DVDs) of "horror" titles was put out 2 weeks ago and is long gone. Looks like semi-daily visits waiting for the Disney assortment... :(

Went looking for the Horror display and didn't find it. I did buy a copy of Grudge 2 Steelbook with a $24.99 price tag from Best Buy for $3.

Reisterstown, MD (new store) has been thoroughly picked clean by people that have apparently never seen cheap movies before and therefor will buy anything and Eldersburg, MD has crap for the Halloween display. I didn't have time to check Westminster, MD yesterday when I was in the area.

Wow, three weeks? Consider yourself lucky. The BL in Niles, IL went at least FIVE MONTHS with nothing new or noteworthy! RMW can back me up on this. ;)

You better believe that Glen. Just went there yesterday as a matter of fact...all junk and scraps left over from six months ago and beyond. Some of these locales they need to replenish their stock and in a hurry as the holidays approach.

I really think part of the problem is that the studios are finding that other retailers are paying them higher prices for their overstock/deletions than BL is.

That sound believable. Many of us have observed and posted that BL's inventory has sucked lately. I went to another store on the weekend and found nothing interesting again. Sure, the recent Halloween display was new to BL, but I don't think there were more than a few titles (none of which I wanted) in the new display that I don't remember having seen before at BL. Gone are the days of seeing a whole new pallet of cool $3 stuff. The few new items trickle in mixed with the rest. You remember how some TV series have the little voice-over saying "previously on...."? Well, I'd like to hang a sign over BL's DVD section saying "as previously seen at Big Lots..."

So, if BL isn't willing to pay enough for DVDs, then in effect they are saying they're not going to be getting much new stuff and just getting rid of what they already have (good luck as so much of it is so old). I should assume BL is going to be like Ross from now on... don't go to the store just looking for movies or you'll be disappointed.

Wow, been searching for ARSENIC AND OLD LACE for quite awhile. Was it the older one with the original ad art on the cover or the newer release with the photo? I would much prefer the former, even if it's a snapper.

Anybody know which Disney ones have the Disney reward points. I got High School musical the concert because it said it had points. Does The High School remix have it? It wasn't marked with the rewards symbol. Any others?
