Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
The store here put out a small waterfall display of Rankin/Bass Christmas titles at $5 each:
Cricket on the Hearth/The Little Drummer Boy Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Frosty the Snowman & Frosty Returns Santa Claus Is Comin to Town Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol Basically, this OOP set, in individual releases, or this ~$20 set <s>without Magoo</s>. |

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
Pearl Tacoma Wa got a very small batch (I was told 2 boxes). Only highlight was Planet Of The Apes Charleton Heston version 2 disc @ $3.
Turned out some weeks when my contacts told me they got nothing & I didn't go in as aresult, they did get stuff. They had the $8 Blu display up with 1 disc left in it. I was told their entire BF dvd sale for that store will be the $1.88 batch; they have no idea yet what's included. |
Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
I almost bought the Planet of the Apes DVD today but all the copies at the Columbus, Ohio store I stopped at were full-screen.

http://thumbnails66.imagebam.com/159...9159948256.jpg Anyhow, I've edited the images - the relevant stuff; DVDs and games. I'm not impressed by the offerings. Feels like more of the same, just cheaper. -> Information all ready posted online (www.2011blackfridayads.com/biglots/), covering my rear. TCM Classics:Bataan/Back To Bataan/Green Berets/Destination Tokyo TCM Classics:Lassie Come Home / Flipper 1963 / The Incredible Mr. Limpet / National Velvet Those were the only TCM sets. The rest were mostly the WB movies: Wesley Snipes:New Jack City/Boiling Point/Murder At 1600/The Art Of War Sandra Bullock:Miss Congeniality/Miss Congeniality 2/Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood/Two Weeks Notice Wayne's World/ Wayne's World 2 El Dorado / Hatari |
Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
Torrance, CA store on Sepulveda finally put out some new Stock, including some of the TV shows ($6 ea.) mentioned in the Thanksgiving 1-Day sale. I was in a rush, and hadn't expected to find anything new yet, so did not make as many notes as I usually do (sorry for that), but what I can confirm was there as of three hours ago:
One Season of JAG between 3-5. One Season of original Hawaii 5-0 between 3-5. One or two Seasons of Charmed. Melrose Place S3 & S4 (two copies of one of those), S5 Vol II Bosom Buddies S1 Beverly Hills 90210 Original S1 Borat Fullscreen w/Slipcover Fantastic Four 2 Garfield Horton Hears a Who Juno (Two-Disc Special Edition with Digital Copy) Marley & Me (I think both single and 2-Disc) Max Payne (Two-Disc Special Edition) $3 (which I bought for almost twice as much 2 months ago. *sigh*) Night at the Museum (I think it was Battle of the Smithsonian) Planet of the Apes 2-Disc Special Edition Fullscreen X-Files 2: I Want to Believe with Digital Copy |

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
Found a bunch of those $6 multipacks at a Columbus, OH store. Managed to find one that actually looked interesting. It was the Urban Action pack -- contained "Black Belt Jones," "Black Samson," "Hot Potato" and "Three the Hard Way" on it. Figured it was worth a shot.

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
As with Strapped4Cash, I went to the Sepulveda store and can report some more information:
Night at the Museum (I think it was Battle of the Smithsonian) Actually, they had both Museum movies. Others I noticed were It happened in Vegas, Live Long and Die Hard (or whatever it was called - the Bruce Willis one) - both $3 They also had, in the box sets, Charmed Season 5 and 6 The one I bought was a single box of Perry Mason - 50th Anniversary $6 I also went to the Lakewood store (nada) and the Cerritos store near Cerritos Mall, where I picked up It's a Wonderful Life, two disc with B&W and Colorized versions. plus Making of... and Frank Capra featurettes, for $5 Finally, I tried the Bellflower store in Long Beach, where I got ($5 each): A Fish Called Wanda (two disc) Cleopatra 75th anniversary (De Mille and Colbert)(two disc) Surface, the series (yes it appears to have surfaced again, along with Conviction, the L&O spinoff) The Producers (the REAL one, withZero Mostel and Gene Wilder) I have noticed that the stores when they get a new batch of movies now seem to use them to fill empty spaces on their current displays, rather than just put the box out complete. This means you have to go through the entire store display in case you miss a new "find". Frustrating but probably good marketing. |
Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
The Cary, NC store had some of the TV sets already out. I grabbed Charmed S1, 3 and 8. I also saw an Odd Couple season, a Hawaii 5-0 season, and a shitload of Walker, Texas Ranger.

There was one that I saw and its in my possession now (evil chuckle). Also, at the Cerritos store, I aw a new display of Nickleodeon titles, mostly SpongeBob, and now more realistically proced at $3 per |
Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
A handful of new TV box sets--no more than one or two per title--is at the Cherry Hill, NJ store:
Walker, Texas Ranger S4, S6, "The Final Season" MacGyver S1 Bosom Buddies S1 Charmed S1 Hawaii Five-O (?) And because everyone asked for it: Twin Peaks S2. Also a pallet of red-labelled $5 Christmas titles, including Scrooge w/ Albert Finney. |
Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
I checked out the PCH store in between Western & Crenshaw and they had nothing new out. Then I went to the PCH store farther west, past Hawthorne. They had put the non-TV DVD's out, but didn't have many of any of them. I did see a few titles there that I had forgotten were at the Sepulveda store too:
Fever Pitch WS Like Mike 2 Sandlot: Heading Home Also saw dozens (very literally) of a couple of titles that I've not seen before: Dirty Sanchez (over 60 copies available) 2006 ESPN Year in Review (at least 30 copies available) |

I also saw quite a few of those and The Bronx is Burning 3 dvd set,(which is the "smaller" set, they also had a 5 DVD set last year too) all for $1 each, which makes sense. |
Re: Big Lots Part 9 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
Thanks berigan. I was not around last year, so am not familiar with much of anything past the last three months. These DVDs weren't out at that store a couple of weeks ago, so they must have either had them sitting in the back or else they got in a new shipment.
