wow, all seasons can be had from big lots (if you can find them there anymore) for about $4 each, this my friends is not a good deal. Way to fail amazon.
thanks anyway op!

You can't compare legitimate pricing to something that was not supposed to happen. From what I understand, the Warner catalog drop at Big Lots was followed by legal action because that inventory was intended to be destroyed. The company hired to dispose of the merchandise turned around and sold it. The chance of finding one of these sets at Big Lots for $4 is slim at best. That being said, $89.99 or $12.85 per season is still a good deal. Especially when you consider most people do not have to pay tax on Amazon purchases. The pre-tax price would be approximately $12 a season. Not bad.Originally Posted by seether254

Less than .001% of the people here were able to get that deal, which, as explained above, was an illegal fluke.Originally Posted by seether254

Season's 1-4 are often $18 per two at Target, but this Amazon price is a good deal on all 7.

It's an anthology show like TZ, but horror. You ever see any of the Creepshow movies? The segments are like those segments. I like the series, but I love all things horror.Originally Posted by Fromundacheese

Thanks for the feedback^^ this is definitely a good price>, ...LINK
I saw the first Creepshow movie and I thought that was great, ive been needing to pick it up on BD.
I am not a big horror movie fan but if I remember correctly that movie was like TZ in several ways.
I better snap this up, of course they are probably going to blu-ray disc like the Twilight Zone is eh?

The show is based on the old EC horror comics. I paid over $100 for just the first five seasons back in 2006! Talk about horror!!

I was able to pick most of these up at Big Lots on the cheap, and it's turned out to be one of the best blind buys I've ever made (especially considering the low price). I've watched 3 of the seasons this month and have really enjoyed them. It's especially fun to see all the celebrities who appear/direct many of the episodes.

And they were $3 each, not $4.

Ninety dollars is a fair price, I remember before the official releases how in demand these were and the cheap bootleg sets on ebay seemed to sell for more than that.

It may not be logical but once an item goes on sale I always have that figure in my head relative to future pricing even if the sale was an insane price error.Originally Posted by calhoun07

Oh, well. I don't have Big Lots near me so that's not really good for me, I guess.

That's kind of true for me too, but I do realize that Big Lots was something that will not really be repeated very often, if ever again. But it is true, once I see an item go on sale at Amazon or DD for some amount, that is the most I will ever pay.Originally Posted by Undeadcow

I would think at least half the people that wanted TOTC and monitored these threads were able to get most of the first six copies of TOTC. But this deal is OK. 12/season is not bad, but with Target getting them in 2-packs, patience will probably pay off in the long run. Rarely do these Amazon deals show up and the stuff does not go on sale elsewhere for the same or lower p;rices. Many of the "great" deals of BF 2009 (like Quantum Leap, Buck Rogers, Surface, Miami Vice complete etc) showed up later on at Wal-Mart, BB, DD or Big Lots for the same or lower prices.Originally Posted by Trevor

Prices are better at target in the 2 packs. $9.99 per season unless you wait for the sale they have every few months then it's $8.99 per season (plus sales tax). Just waiting for the last few seasons.

Agreed. If you want to recall good memories of a great deal you got, that's fine with me. Telling someone else they shouldn't buy it because of that deal doesn't make sense, however.Originally Posted by calhoun07

Yeah, and I am even more confused about the mention of the Big Lots deal when people also add that it is not likely to be repeated.Originally Posted by davidh777

If there's no likely chance these season sets will be three bucks a piece again then if I pass this deal up I am a chump hanging on to some deal of the past I never got to take advantage of. What is the bloody point in that? And if you're refusing to buy these season sets for a great deal like this because you think they will be three bucks a season again, I am sure you're going to be waiting a long, long time. Likely you can snag them used from a secondary seller for that price, but that might be your best chance.
I did go ahead and buy this. I REALLY didn't want to...but I put off buying other things for now that I was planning to get this weekend (a new jacket? Meh...it's not that cold yet!) and I don't want to wait for another year for a DOTD. Because it was a full year ago the last time I saw these on sale at amazon.com. I've been wanting these since season one came out and now just seemed like a good time.

I'm confused that people keep bumping this thread to complain about others complaining. My head is going to explode.
