I emailed them about 4 hours ago and still no reply yet. So I called directly and they denied it based on the fact that they couldn't see the coupon from their browser.

Well, earlier when they thought I was talking about a different VOD promotion, and they asked if they solved my problem, so I clicked no and explained why. They finally just got back to me about that, and said that they're sorry it wouldn't work, and issued me a $5 promotional certificate. Problem solved. Me happy. $12.99 is awesome. And then almost immediately afterward, I received my shipping notification.

Just got my confirmation e-mail from Amazon for the $5 promotional credit as well:
Couldn't be happier. Was thinking I was going to have to wait until the holidays to pick this up for a decent price.

I already had $8 in credit from them and now with this $5 getting this for $4.99/shipped is a steal!

Emailed CS about an hour ago and still no reply, but I don't think there will be any problem.

Getting this for $12.99 on release week, or any week for that matter, is a steal.

lord....fuming right now. denied via e-mail: "I have checked into the promotional offer on the manufacturer's website. While Amazon.com is an authorized dealer of Sony DVDs we are not a participating dealer for this particular promotion."

Then I called, and boy the woman did not want to help at all...refused to apply the coupon. Said it was a Sony problem and not Amazon's. Any advice?

How can they not be a participating dealer for that promotion when they are the ONLY dealer for that promotion?

Oh my God, I kept saying that to the woman on the phone. It got me so fired up, not because I need the $5, but just on principle. I sent another polite e-mail and will keep hammering away there. Fingers crossed.

I emailed them and since my order was in the "already processed but yet to ship" stage they just gave me a $5 promotional credit which I used to pre-order The Slumber Party Massacre Collection for $13.99. Awesome.
