The Beverly NJ store had some of the $3 movies from the Clementon location, and also a few that weren't:

War of the Worlds (Spielberg)
Tales From the Darkside: The Movie
Will Penny
The Rose Tattoo

In the $5 bins:

The Polar Express 3D
Moses (Burt Lancaster)
To Catch a Thief
Some Kind of Wonderful
The Tuxedo
The Desperate Hours
Darling Lili
Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (deluxe, no slipcover)
Curse of the Jade Scorpion
Stop-Loss
Save the Last Dance
Hamlet (Mel Gibson)

I'd love to have the second or third version. I wonder if any Big Lots around here will get it in though?

That's All Folks...Yup...My "Mr Deeds" is that very one...same cover and everything.

Vichy, I bought "Cruising" when it first came out for some godforsaken reason, but it sounds like you already have your answer anyway.

Today I found the William Castle-produced BUG with Bradford Dillman and DOLLARS (one of Sony's "Martini Movies" series) with Warren Beatty and Goldie Hawn. Plus, BAD COMPANY with Jeff Bridges and SORRY, WRONG NUMBER with Barbara Stanwyck and Burt Lancaster.

Kent, Wa did not get the new batch. I'm a bit surprised as they're one of the biggest stores for dvd's in the area.

Re: Big Lots Part 8 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Visited a few stores recently in hopes of finding the F13th Deluxe Editions talked about here. I own the first 4 which I picked up used and very cheap. I almost think $5 is too much for 'em, but I wanted to check out the features and use them for this year's horror challenge. Looks like from what I discovered and the previous posts is that only 5, 7 & 8 have been spotted. Kinda strange that it's just been those 3, and in very limited quantities.

Anybody see The Perfect Score in this recent Paramount batch? I can't wait to look at this new batch...finally, there are some really good deals! Bringing Out the Dead is one of my favorite movies!

I wonder if the deluxe editions of Friday the 13th films showing up at Big Lots means they'll release a box set including all of them bundled together soon... I perhaps incorrectly feel this is inevitable.

Went in today, only new title was the "Bewitched" movie with Will Ferrell- might have bought it if they had anything else I wanted, but they didn't.

I got "The Perfect Score" at Big Lots a couple years ago for $4.99 ($3 discs weren't commonplace there yet.)

Re: Big Lots Part 8 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

The Rensselaer/East Greenbush NY store got the $5, kid movie and kid Christmas shipment, but didn't have a single one of the "new" $3 titles.

Bummer.

Then perhaps it's a good bet that the Colonie NY store 20 minutes way didn't either.

Get an international version. The US version is cut, and the image leaves a bit to be desired...IMO

Re: Big Lots Part 8 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

I found the new 3.00 pallet also. Nothing really exciting but I picked up a few.

I also saw a new shipment of the 4 film favorites but they are charging 9.00 each for them.

Which totally undermines shopping there. I just grabbed a Nightmare on Elm Street 4 Film Favorite (1-4) for $3 at a pawnshop.

I wish the Friday The 13ths would show up around here. Has anyone actually found one that included the slipcover?

Picked up for $3 each:
anything else
starting over
dick
ice pirates
ruins unrated
tales from the darkside movie
fancy pants
hollywood ending
bug

I debated the horror box set with Thirteen Ghosts, Gothika, Ghost Ship, House of Wax and House on Haunted Hill for $9, but I already have a few of the titles so passed.

rdf...as of last Sunday anyway, you're right. They had absolutely nothing new.

Checking East Greenbush again today.

The Troy store seems to be the most ahead of the game locally.

Re: Big Lots Part 8 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Finally got a re-stock at my local store. I ended up with 22 titles, including The Marc Pease Experience (Jason Schwartzman, Ben Stiller), Mad Hot Ballroom, Three Violent People, and The Big Cube. Anyone seen Caged (1950)? With The Big Cube and Trog that would complete the "Cult Camp Classics 2" set. They also had two versions of the MP&THG Collector's Edition - same UPC, but one box was thicker than the other by about 1/4". The thinner one didn't have the "Includes the real Holy Grail" sticker. AFAICT the specs were the same.

Re: Big Lots Part 8 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Went to the Big Lots on Morse Rd. in Columbus, OH.

Picked Up:
Fly Away Home $5
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang $5

Saw "In The Valley Of Ellah" there for $5, would've gotten that too. Not enough money with me. However, glad I waited cause I found it at a Marshalls' for $3.99.

Re: Big Lots Part 8 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

The new batch made it here. They'd not opened the boxes but a couple of the stockers who know I collect alerted me to the still wrapped boxes and said to open them and have a look. These consisted of a roughly 50/50 mix of restock and new - mostly titles already mentioned. One flat is $5 titles and the other is $3. A couple of items I noticed becuase of price changes were "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" (box w/cell) now at $5 (they still have many $6 ones here), and a few former $5 titles now at $3 - "The Love God" and "Blades of Steel" - both WS versions. Basically nothing that just jumped out. I left empty handed... again...
