That's the only Exorcist film I haven't seen, but I own it just because I own all of the other films. I'm more of a completist (mainly with horror films), so I guess it depends. But if it's $3, why not?

Thanks for the Incubus heads up. I never would have looked at the 3 packs closely if I wasn't aware. Mine came with Strings and They Came Back, but TCB is a floater...

I wonder if the Godard Set is going OOP. Barnes and Noble says it is not available for ordering and Amazon says they only have one in stock. If I'm not mistaken they usually say "More on the way" but this one just says "order soon".

Re: Big Lots Part 8 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
^Amazon will not change to "more on the way" until the entire stock on hand is depleted. Even then, they'll put that message up for a OOP title and notify you later that they can't get one for you. I had one OOP title "on order" for 3 months (kept making them extend the wait) before they finally cancelled with a "can't get any more" email.

My local Big Lots finally got in a new shipment. I picked up:
Get Shorty (Two-Disc Special Edition)
I Heart Huckabees
The Chocolate War
The Darwin Awards
Police Academy (20th Anniversary Special Edition)
And while not part of the new shipment, I also picked up a copy of The Brothers Solomon.

Was just told there are 2 new $5 assortments, one called "Father's Day" which I believe are single dvd's, & 1 called "$5 multi-packs". Will post more tomorrow when I know more.

Found these the other day in Egg Harbor NJ:
The Herzog was the only one there (I'm looking to trade it).
They also had a single copy of the UK Mini-series "Colditz", which I highly recommend.
Plus they had several box sets like those inferior AMC's, Hunter, Greatest American Hero, Men Behaving Badly, Password, etc.

Saw the following three packs:
Yi Yi (Edward Yang)
Notre Musique (Godard)
Sea Spies (documentary)
Wild Tigers I Have Known
Z
Adventures of Felix (not the cat)
The Chaos Experiment (Val Kilmer)
Clockwatchers (fullscreen)
The Royal Diaries
Good Morning, Night (Marco Bellocchio)
Kings & Queen
The Beat That My Heart Skipped
Palindromes
Clockwatchers (fullscreen)
Carla's Song (Ken Loach)
Also tons of the horror packs with the usual titles like The Mad, Ghost Writer, Pirates: Blood Brothers, etc.
I also picked up a couple of titles I hadn't seen before (I've seen Payback, but not at $3):
On a side note, one store was also having a sale on their blue tagged books: 2 for $1. So for 50 cents each I bought:

^ That 24 book looks pretty cool. Now I'm going to have to take a closer look at the books as well as the DVDs.

Loving these 3-packs! Thanks for all the updates on what's out there. I saw some other titles scattered in the 3 packs I don't believe have been mentioned yet:
The Intruder/L'Intrus (Claire Denis)
Cafe Lumiere (Hou Hsiao-Hsien)
Dear Wendy (Thomas Vinterberg)
A Hole In One (stars Michelle Williams, Meat Loaf and Bunk from The Wire!)

Re: Big Lots Part 8 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
the "straight up" version of "payback" is imo, a better film than the theatrical version. the "straight up" is the original version of the film, before it was submitted to test screening audiences, and after which they changed much of the film to make mel gibson's charactor less "dispicable"

The new $5 dvd's are previewed rental sell offs. They are called the "Father's Day DVD Assortment". I only took a quick glance as i had no interest, but they appeared to be pretty mediocre titles also. The only title that I remember was Iron Man 1. I THINK they were mostly Paramounts. When i was there, the store couldn't find the $5 3 packs they were supposed to have received, so no idea what they were.

You got the Herzog set for $2. The store I bought them at they were $5. The cashier I that checked me out thought they were video games. Very strange!!!!!
