I would say it's inevitable. Though it may be tricky due to OVAs tie-in with Kujibiki Unbalance. It's about whether you want to see it soon or further later down the line. And there is the matter of the superior packaging of likely chipboard artbox versus LiteBox.

People should be made aware that the US release of Ponyo BD from Disney almost positively will not have a lossless Japanese audio track (5.1DD only). It will only have a lossless English track. If this sort of thing bothers you, the Hong Kong R1 BD release has a lossless Japanese track with Eng subtitles and costs around the same price as the US release (unfortunately none of the 4hr+ of extras have Eng subs).

Yeah, I saw the AOD article as well. Doesn't really bother me though since Disney produces pretty good dubs.

Had to cancel and reorder after I noticed the plush doesn't come with the Blu-ray but rather the DVD.

I am only buying BB stuff from Rightstuf.com and i can tell you that all DVDs/Boxsets/CDs/Books i got were in excellent condition, brand new and there were no damaged cases or boxsets.

I think Rightstuf wont send you some damaged DVD Cases (its not limited yet).
