"Dogma" BD for $7.99 at amazon.com. No shipping until after Dec. 23rd but for eight bucks I'll take it. Also got "Braveheart" ($10), "Ghost in the Shell 2.0" ($15.99), "Night of the Creeps" ($11), "Looney Tunes: Golden Collection Vol. 2" ($9.99) and "Bones: Season 3" ($19.99). :)

How did you get Looney Tunes for $9.99?

I knew that would happen. I posted in 1 of these threads (don't remember which) that as soon as I ordered from Walmart.com for $12.40 delivered that Amazon would beat it... fortunately only by 41 cents so I can live with that.

I see John Adams Blu-Ray is down $2 more to $22.99. That makes it $4 cheaper than BBY was... tempted to order from Amazon and return the unopened BBY one.

Exactly what happened to me, also including Drag Me to Hell. I mean, we could buy them on Amazon and save a few cents and return the Wal-Mart orders....but it seems like a hassle.

I agree. I could watch Drag Me To Hell once a week.

Only bit on The Watchmen and House 1-5. I've been holding out, hoping for a BD release of these, but the prices were so low, I figure I'll at least get my money back selling them if it ever does.

But after House, I just got away from Amazon completely. Too many deals making me want to buy things I wouldn't even typically care of.

I even got all excited about Monsters vs. Aliens BD tomorrow and then had to smack myself because I barely liked Kung Fu Panda and I've heard that's the better film of the two.

Still hoping for a deal on a 42" Panny plasma, but it hasn't happened yet. Tomorrow or Monday or I miss out again this year and might have to seriously consider the Sony 40" Bravia LCD for $699 which would be a fairly big disappoinment.

Picked up Drag Me To Hell BR from Walmart.com, with free home delivery. It shows delivery this coming Wednesday! This is a blind buy for me, but the reviews seem really positive overall.

got Drag Me to Hell for $11.99....no if only they lower District 9 to that...

Ordered the Reader bd yesterday for $11.99...then it dropped to $10.49 today but I was able to cancel it and reorder at the new price...but I wanted to cancel Braveheart for $10 to get DMtH instead, but it wouldn't let me just minutes after....but tReader said I could....but when I clicked to do it, it all of a sudden changed back to "shipping soon" and said I couldn't! grrr!

Do they still do the price guarantee though? I don't want to deal with trying to cancel orders and redoing them as prices drop tomorrow.

No. They dropped this a while back. On occasion you may get a sympathetic CS rep who'll go ahead and do it as a "one time only" adjustment but I wouldn't count on it.

crap. oh well...maybe that's why they've made all my orders from today "shipping soon" almost immediately - to prevent people from cancelling/reordering over and over.

The Blu-Ray would be a much better choice for $4 more at Amazon.

HistoryProf 11-26-09 09:21 PM

Re: AMAZON Black Friday Week Bargains

yes it would...i assumed he meant the blu ray...hence my emphatic declaration :)

Th blu at $22.99 is still an awesome deal though, and worth every penny.

Shoot, my bad for throwing that into my amazon haul. I got that one from a local NYC B&M store (Entertainment Outlet). Sorry. :(

BTW, "Dexter Season 1" (DVD) is $12.49 on amazon.com (down from $14.99 a few hours ago).

Sonofabitch, just bought it from them on Monday and received it yesterday through Prime. Curse you, Amazon!
