Please note that this is the new packaging (minus the 3 audio CDs). This set has 30 discs. Also saw Superman Ultimate Collector's Edition for ~20.00.

Saw several 2 movie sets [packaged in single case] for ~6.48 while doing Tday shopping:

The Lost Boys/The Lost Boys: The Tribe
Kurt Russell (Executive Decision + 1 other[?])
Dukes of Hazard/Dukes of Hazard prequel
Rush Hour/Rush Hour 2
Steven Seigal (Out for Justice + 1 other[?, not under siege])
...plus a few others I can't remember

At those prices how can you go wrong?

There may be more, but my sams sucks, they rarely restock such things-

Re: Sam's Club Bargain Thread

I usually don't go for the two/four packs of movies on 1 or 2 DVDs but I found one at Sam's today I couldn't pass up. It's a Warner 4 film favorites "urban action collection". The 4 films are Black Belt Jones, Black Samson, Hot Potatoe and Three The Hard Way. All Widescreen, 2 flipper disc.

At my Sam's the 4 Film Favorites sets are ~$9.88, which seemed similar to other stores.

Wait, the DVD set or the BD set? I assume it's the DVD set, but seriously I'd be all over that if it was the BD set!

Re: Sam's Club Bargain Thread

They just opened a Sam's Club in my town and they only had one two-sided display - maybe 15 feet long - with DVD/Blu-rays mixed together - and all the prices sucked. I'd heard about all these deals people have found at discount club stores, so this was reallly a disappointing selection. Wish they'd opened up a Costco here instead. :P

I did see a 2-pack of X-Men 3 and X-Men Origins: Wolverine on BD (I know, wrong forum). I didn't see a price, but it might be worth looking into for those who bought the $15 X-Men/X2 BD pack at Wal-Mart.

I saw this last week ... I think it is around $20 ... could have been around $25 though (I know I saw both price points, $19.88 and $24.88, but don't remember what movies were at each price).

They certainly don't have deals like they used to have back in the day. I did see Babylon 5 season for 17 bucks though.

Re: Sam's Club Bargain Thread

Earlier this week I picked up "Primal Fear" the evidence bag edition for $4.98.

Today I got the Critters and Free Willy 4 film favorites for $9.98 each. They had them cheaper and out early. Both aren't due in stores til Tuesday. Free Willy 3 is full screen in it's set. It also seems "Critters" is now anamorphic widescreen. I believe the old single disc was not.

Maybe it was. It seemed my copy wasn't. I could be wrong. It felt like my picture was stretched when I watched the single disc widescreen. This one looked better. I do have a widescreen tv. I'll do a comparison sometime soon. I'm just glad I got it cheap and before it's actual street date. I've loved Critters 2 and 3. I love all 4, but 2 is my favorite. The third one is great pure camp that veers way left of the first two in continuity of the series. Gotta love Leonardo DiCaprio's screen debut. I'm sure this is the movie he's most embarassed by. All stars have that, some more than others though. That's a whole other thread and topic.

Re: Sam's Club Bargain Thread

I went in looking for the Mel Brooks set (which I found - $25.88) and found one I don't recall seeing mentioned:

X-Files S1/S2 (back to back - New "slim" packaging) - $17.86

Yes. I got that too.

Re: Sam's Club Bargain Thread

Went by this week, and they had a ton of La Femme Nikkita seasons for like $15 each. Crazy price considering some stores still want $80 bucks a season for it.

Re: Sam's Club Bargain Thread

Saw THE COMPLETE SERIES for both BRANDED and THE GUNS OF WILL SONNET for $13.88 each. These are from syndicated and (sometimes very badly) edited prints, but it's doubtful they are ever going to come out any other way. Both shows ran for two full seasons, so not a bad deal even with the truncated prints.

Re: Sam's Club Bargain Thread

Just picked up a TV DVD 2 pack at Sam's Club of JAG Season 7 and 8 for $24.88, they also had S 1 & 2 (which has been cheaper at Target). Don't know if other's were available and sold out or not. Wish they would have had 5 & 6 and 9 & 10 too. Also saw some double pack seasons of some of the CSI shows for the same price.
