I don't think any one has mentioned it but this sale ends Sunday November 29 the day before Cyber Monday Last year, Deepdiscount had maybe a few hundred titles at the best ever prices I'd seen for most of them on CM.

Is there any reason to think Homicide is going out of print? I bit on the complete series for $60 despite being backordered. Hopefully I'll get it in a reasonable amount of time. I've got so much shit stacked up from Amazon I won't exactly be lacking things to watch for a while.

I've literally bought thousands of dollars of DVDs and Blu Rays from DD but this sale is an insult. I won't be spending any of my money with them unless they actually beat their competitor's pricing, like they used to.

I agree. While I appreciate their past sales, I don't get the mentality that some people have here where they seem to act like DD was doing everyone a favor by offering 20-25% off previously. After having spent several thousands of dollars with them previously, I don't feel like I "owe" them anything for them offering sales previously. If it doesn't make financial sense to their company to offer 20-25% off sales anymore, that's their decision, but it sucks for the rest of us who have relied on that and waited several months or a year before buying items that we wanted because of the DD sale. I hope that they will revert back to their old ways but, if not, I don't feel like I owe it to them to buy things at a comparable or higher price just because they've offered much better deals in the past. I will continue to buy from the sites that offer the best deals which, as of late, has been Amazon. I should note, I started buying from DD back when DeepDiscountDVD.com was first launched yeeeears ago and was extremely loyal to them for several years. But, they became less competitive and their shipping times have gotten horrible. I guess this happens over time when smaller companies get bigger, as theirs has, but I'm sure they expected a certain amount of attrition.

I prefer bigcrumbs for dvdplanet they have 5.4% and you get paid automatically two months after the purchase month. Plus there's no minimum.

I think that the big box filing cabinet version of this set has gone out of print on several occasions... It's hard to say how long it'll take deep discount to get it back in stock (sometimes during a sale, they don't have something for a month or two, and sometimes when I've ordered something on back order it only takes a day or two).

The combo of there not being too many deals out there and seeing this for only $60 makes me jealous and want to buy it again! Despite the eventual decline in the series towards the latter seasons, that set is easily the best dvd buy I've ever made.

Nothing for me thanks. I have been wearing out my Amazon Prime account for DVDs the last 6 months, simply because their prices are better. I did place a BBC order from Deep Discount over a week ago, when they had the BBC sale. Still waiting for the product. When you are spoiled with Amazon's 2 day shipping, 2 weeks shipping feels like forever.

Better prices elsewhere and better service have reduced my orders from Deep Discount to the odd one or two a year, while my DVD purchases have remained steady at about 200-300 DVDs a year.
