I ordered a couple Farscape sets from DD at the $95 price, and they shipped 1 day before the price drop. Will DD honor the new price, or do I have to go through the motions of returning the sets and re-ordering?

I'ld call them and ask. In similar situations, they have always adjusted the prices for me in the past.

Ordered Warner Bros. Holiday Collection - Vol. 2(All Mine to Give / Holiday Affair / It Happened on 5th Avenue / Blossoms in the Dust) for $16.85.

Since all the single releases are now OOP I didn't want to wait any longer.

- Ghost in the Shell 2.0 BD - 14.86
- Master and Commander BD - 12.38 (but I won't buy it new because of the lack of extras -- sorry, Fox)
- 12 Monkeys BD - 17.97 (not much of a deal)

I ordered a couple of CDs from Deep Discount and two Blus from DVD Planet. I went with Planet only because of the active $5 off $50 coupons (COUPONCABIN & 5OFF50NOW) which made them cheaper than Deep Discount. That's it! I'm done.

That's just why people are saying the "sale" is horrible. There are a *few* decent deals rather than *lots* of *good* deals.

I've wondered the same thing. I've several titles on my wishlist that Michael's Movie Mahem shows to still be in print but DD shows to be OOP. One has been OOP at DD for over 9 months and another for over a year but these are *still* in print (source-MMM) and available at quite a few merchants.

I re-checked some of my wishlist items and found myself pleasantly surprised. The order is much less than I might normally have ordered, but:

Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog DVD: $8.65 (42% off MSRP)
Fastlane - The Complete Series DVD: $14.39 (76% off MSRP!)
InuYasha - Season 7 DVD: $44.62 (55% off MSRP)

I haven't gotten my confirmation e-mail yet, but I did enter the HOTSTUFF code and it didn't complain.

Potentially, I may place a second order, but at present, it doesn't look like it.

I just ordered some dvds and the prices turned up low compared to Amazon.
Like the 3 STOOGES vol. 7 is $19 at Amazon and $17 at DD.
So give it a try to see.

I went with:
- Homicide Complete Series $60, 60% off
- Farscape Complete Series $75, 50% off
- Dr. Quinn Complete Series $75 50% off
- Alien Nation Movies $30, 40% off

These were all on my wish list, so a very successful sale for me.

Obviously, the sale isn't as wide open as prior sales, but there are items for over 40% off, which just a few days ago we didn't think would happen. And 40% off some items is still lower then other places.

It looks as though the classic Warner Box Sets are the most viable purchases during this sale, barring any sudden sales anywhere else.

Wow. I just checked my huge wish list, and this sale is a real bummer, aside from some series sets that I can't really justify buying anyway.

Checked my wishlist and compared prices through DVDAF... a few titles saved a dollar here, a few cents there, many titles were considerably less at other etailers. I normally spend hundreds of dollars during these bi-annual sales, this time, nothing. What a disappointment.

Would have gotten more, but I gotta have something to ask for Christmas...and, yeah, money's sort of tight.
