I understand, but finding NOTHING in almost 4 months makes me hesitate, especially when taking the locations into account, that's why I use the $250 as a baseline. As you point out, the coupons have basically disappeared. And you can always renew if you find a deal you can't pass on...I am skeptical though. And I still have to enter a mall!

At first I thought it was fyeguy who had posted it, but upon further inspection it's actually the Riverdale store in Utah who had posted it on his wall. There's no indication that it can't be used at any of the other locations, but I'd probably make a hard copy to be safe.

FYE Superstore in Ft. Union, UT is closing. I wonder if any of the others are in Utah. I know the Redwood Road and 700 East stores are staying open. There's a store in Orem and one in South Ogden. Don't know about those two.

update: The South Ogden store must have closed some time ago. Their phone number is disconnected.

The Orem store is closing. I had called them a week ago and was told that all the stores in Utah were closing, but that the Provo and the SLC (was not told which one) stores would be the last to go. Then when I went in to the Orem store earlier this week I overheard one of the staff tell a customer that the Provo store was not closing.

My guess is that what I was told over the phone was correct and it's only a matter of time before the the SLC and Provo stores eventually close as well.

Have they started the going out of business sale yet, or how soon are they closing?

It looks like the superstore on Redwood Road in Salt Lake is safe for awhile. Don't know how long.

Finally made it into the Tacoma Mall (Washington State) FYE today. They are not closing, but I was told that the Suncoast in the same mall had closed sometime in the last year (the clerk didn't know when it had happened either). Too bad I missed that sale!

Nothing really spcial in the FYE; there were some $10 TV box sets, & some 2 for $3 & 2 for $5 cd's, but that was about it.

Yes they are having the closing sales. I was told that the last day would be the 21st.

Last week the sales were still not great with most of the new Blu-Ray and DVD's only being 30% off while the used ones were 40% off. I'm planning on going in there again today to see if the deals have improved.

Update on the Orem store, fye has moved the final day to 'mid-March.' And all DVD and Blu-Rays, both new and used, are now 40% off there.

I was again told that the Provo store is not closing, so who knows.

Was making my rounds through the grocery store this morning and found a new f.y.e. coupon. Inside of specially marked boxes of Post Golden Crisp cereal (and possibly other Post cereals) there is a 20% off coupon for any CD or DVD regularly priced $12.99 and up. The offer can be used in-store or online. The online code is 'POST1' and is valid only once per email address. Expires 11/21/2012.

If you want the coupon for in-store use you'll have to buy the cereal. That will be the deal breaker for most.

Included is also a 20% off coupon for any one used video game or 10% off any one new video game. The online coupon for this is 'POST2.'

Did it say anything about needing to be a Backstage Pass Member? Apparently the Battle Royale 1 & 2 Blu-ray set is selling for $24.99 and I wouldn't mind using a coupon on that. I know you said it's CD or DVD, but they usually let you buy Blu-rays with coupons that don't specifically say Blu-ray.

It should be available to everyone. There is no mention of the backstage pass on the coupon.

Today Saturday is the last day for the Ft. Union and Orem Utah stores. I bought a SACD a couple of days ago, new for 40% off.

Has anyone had any success with using the POST1 code online? At checkout it keeps telling me it's an invalid code.

Ok everyone, supposedly the POST1 and POST2 codes went out earlier then expected so they are still not active online. I have no idea when they will be activated, but there shouldn't be a problem if you cut out the coupon from the cereal box for use in store.
