Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
Checked the Big Lots on White Horse Rd. on Greenville last night on my way to an indy wrestling show. I picked up:
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003; 2-Disc w/ metal faceplate and "evidence" envelope)
Sugar & Spice (WS/FS flipper)
Josie and the Pussycats
Simone (Al Pacino) (flipper)
And STILL no sign of Class of 1984, Beyond the Mat or Red Sonja.

No Class of 1984 or Beyond the Mat though.

I went yesterday, and saw some titles I was interested in. BUT the checkout lane was a mile long. I put back my DVD's and left. There was one lane open with at least 20 people in line at 2:30pm...

Does anyone know just what the 2 for $10 box sets in the add are? The only $6 items I've seen are more of the previewed crap.

At one store I asked where are the 2 for $10 box sets and she pointed to the Joey and Dukes box sets collecting dust on the wire rack.
I didn't see any new $6 box sets so maybe the clerk was right?

^That and the latest round of box set titles from St. Clair Vision ("Masters of Comedy", "Masters of Horror", etc.). Those were/are $6 regular as well.

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
Bought these today..
Diner
Under Siege 2
Chamber Of Horrors/The Bridges Of Fu Manchu (Double Feature)
The Witches Of Eastwick
Elvis - Kissin Cousins
My Life Without Me
The Sentinel (1976)
Heroes (1977)
Butterflies Are Free
The version of Butterflies Are Free i bought is a non flipper and lists 2.35 anamorphic only. The flipper held a 1.85 anamorphic ratio. I'm assuming this is a misprint on the version i bought i hope.

IMO, Julien Donkey Boy is amazing and Harmony Korine is one of the only directors these days pushing boundaries.

AD...not add... sorry for being a spelling nazi but I noticed it twice among the last few posts... If I can just get people to stop confusing the words lose and loose I will die happy lol
Picked up a ton of new items at my BL in the past two weeks, the letdown after the $3 sets dried up has finally passed and I am back at BL with weekly visits

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
The new batch of 2 for $10 (from the ad that is supposed to start tomorrow) were already out today at my NE MO store. The ones I remember seeing are Bride Wars, This Christmas, Drillbit Taylor, 27 Dresses, Kit Kittredge An American Girl, Slumdog Millionaire, Burn After Reading, and Snow Angels, but I know there were some others. I saw The Mob Box Set for $15.00, but no other new box sets of any sort. There are still tons of James Bond sets that have been sitting for several weeks. I was in a hurry and didn't look carefully to see if there were in any new DVDs in the huge cardboard bins, but hopefully can go back tomorrow because the racks seemed pretty full.

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
just out of curiosity, what % of these movies are people enjoying?
I must have bought almost 100 B/L dvds since I found out about the $3 sale, and have to admit that 80-90% of these I am disappointed with, and some i couldn't even get past the first 30 minutes.
Now I have tons of DVDs, many with slashed UPC codes, that I can't get rid of. Sure, I can donate them to a library, but I didn't realize this was a charitable donation when I bought these. : )
Nobody's fault but mine. Clearly the $3 price point got me interested in getting stuff that normally I would never have on my official wish list.
Are people actually ENJOYING these movies?

Re: Big Lots Part 7 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)
I found some Universal box sets for 8.00
I got:
Bionic Woman (new series)
Sliders season 4
They also had these:
Law and Order (dont know which one)
Blind date uncensored 3 pack
Mcmillion and wife season 1
McCloud season 1 and 2
Some other crime show I never heard of
I also got these 3.00 ones
The Garbo Silent Collection
The Black Scorpion
Easter Parade
Return to the House on Haunted Hill
Knute Rockne All Americam
Osmosis Jones
Live Wire
Detroit Rock City
Sylvester Stallone 4 Film set (Tango and Cash, Demolition Man, The Specialist, Over the Top)
The Garbo Silent Collection is slashed really bad it goes all the way down the back of the case. I looked on Amazon and the retail is 39.95 on it so maybe thats why they slashed it so bad?
