Just called my local store (San Bernardino, CA). The woman said no new DVDs were out, but there are expecting a shipment for an upcoming ad.

I'm guessing those box sets are part of an upcoming sale.

To those who have seen the sets... "Sliders" seasons 3 and 4 have been found. Has anybody seen the combo for seasons 1 and 2?

A question for Perkinsun Dzees, what was that season set that is blocked on image two? The top reads "Classic Television". Is that "Columbo"?

By the way, "Surface" a great show that ended on a huge cliffhanger.

Since a bought a sh.t pile.. a employee that sees me a lot took me back to see the display that was coming out for saturday.. at 4 for $10 as per the ad. Nothing new that I noticed .. not even much that I had previously bought or was interested in.. Goya's Ghost maybe..

The lone "classic television" set here tonight was McMillan & Wife - Season One... Found Law and Order: Trial by Jury complete and Conviction complete. Didn't see any of the others posted. edit - Oh yeah, they had Bionic Woman.

That said... I just checked the same store (Eastland, Lexington) on Tuesday night and they weren't out when I was there. Could be more on the way or they could have been cleaned out yesterday. The complete randomness of stock hitting the shelves, as usual.

Grabbed Transsiberian from the movies and spotted a few others that were new; War, Inc., Day Zero, some others... Again, that batch was not out 48 hours ago.

Same here in Jersey. We must be behind the rest or the country! No $8 box sets, but the Warners finally showed up. Nothing of great interest, but I grabbed "Harper" (Paul Newman). We also finally got (a TON of) those $26 Bond box sets.

Would love to see the Thin Man boxset turn up at a great price, but the individual releases would be just as great. Finally, something worth keeping an eye out for!

My wife is getting me the Thin Man box for Christmas (I know because I bought it for her on amazon). It's only $23.39 !!!!...so basically it comes very close to what the price would be at BL if all the titles showed up individually. And there is a docu disc included.

Now what would kill me is if those 3 Forbidden Hollywood boxes show up at BL at $3 a piece. I just splurged and bought them for a combined $56 on Amazon.
