I was checking out prices on DVD Planet. Now I can't get on their site. It's frustrating.

Just checked and it still isn't working for me.

Just called customer service. Rep says that they've been made aware of the problem and that it should be fixed in about an hour.

Never had a problem accessing the site. CSR was great this morning, adjusting my order to include the 25% off. She said they have a dedicated team to address such issues as discount codes.

Can anybody confirm if the DVDPlanet code works more than once?

We'll find out after we get it to work the first time.

It's working now...I couldn't get on yesterday. I have a question. Are people buying on this site because they have store credit? I mean, all of the prices in DeepDiscount are much cheaper. Is it because of the store credit?

My answer is.... yes, for the most part. I have close to $200 in store credit at DVDPLanet. So if the same title is less than, say, $3 or $4 more than the price at DD, I would rather use up my store credit than incur a new out-of-pocket charge.

There are exceptions, of course. The Marx Brothers green boxed set (last time I checked) was about $20 higher at DVDPlanet. In this case, I'm planning to buy it at DD rather than "waste" that much difference in store credit at DVDplanet.

Gotcha. I haven't tried yet, because there are titles coming out on the 28th that I want to get.

I just want to place my small order (and use up my store credit) as soon as possible because I'm afraid the prices may go up. I don't think I will be using DVDPlanet again after this (unless their prices go back down to where they were last year).

Same BS as everyone else. Ever since yesterday I still get the message that the coupon has already been used. The longer this goes on the more titles in my cart that are showing up as Out of Stock. And DP is not the fastest at restocking their inventory.

Well I just called their customer care and she tells me yes the sale has started and the coupon should work. I told her know it does not. She said I could place a order over the phone but that I won't be able to use my store credit if I do and will have to use a CC. I told her what the hell am I supposed to do with my store credit I have. I am not using my damn CC to place a order over the phone or online. She said then I would just have to wait till they fix the problem. I said when they be since you said the sale already started and the code should work. You also been telling people it should be fixed in a hour and that was three hours ago. What a bunch of bullshit.

Anyone having a problem accessing the site in general? I've tried it on Safari, Firefox and using two different online proxy servers and still get a connection timeout error.

The sale lasts until Aug 2, right? Take a deep breath and try to calm down. You will get your orders placed and your dvds will arrive. No need to raise your bloodpressure because the code isn't working several hours into the first day of the sale.

Besides, if you're like many of us here, chances are you have a pile of unwatched dvds to keep you busy until the ones you place from this order arrive.

I think people are worried about prices going up and items going out of stock. Those are 2 reasons why I want to place an order right away, but patience is a virtue.

For some reason, I could only get to the webpage on my gf's mac. The code doesn't work, so I placed the order anyway and called dvdplanet. They have no problem adjusting the order, but it doesn't show up in the system yet. They asked me to call back in 2 hours...

I suggest everyone do the same if they're worried about prices getting jakked up and certain items going OOS.
