Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

Rite Aid currently has an offer on their site where if you earn 20 credits by watching some advertising videos, you'll get a $5 off $20 or more coupon good for an instore purchase:

http://my.adperk.com/splash/d30b50da/index.html

Most of the vids are about 30 seconds long and earn one credit. There are a few that are over a minute long and earn two credits. After each video ends, you have 30 seconds to enter in an onscreen code or else you won't get credit for it. You also have to register on the site in order to get the coupon.

Thanks for posting this! It didn't take long at all to rack up 20 credits. The shortest video I found was for Alavert, only 16 seconds... too bad I couldn't have just watched that one 20 times.

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

Went to another Rite Aid and found yet another Anchor Bay release Curse Of The Devil $3.99.
It's funny buying this stuff at Rite Aid what with a cover of a werewolf dripping blood.

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

Rite Aid in Bakersfield found Veronica Mars season 1. None of the other sets mentioned. Found Season 2 at big lots a few weeks back.

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

In this weeks Rite Aid ad, there is a $5 off coupon on any DVD that is priced between $9.99-$14.99.
Even though the DVDs pictured are movie ones (Batman-Dark Knight, Mamma Mia etc) it saids any
DVD on the coupon so you should be able to use it on any of the TV sets like ER, Veronica Mars etc
that are priced at $9.99. Now watch they pull a "DD" and raise each DVD up $5 making the coupon
worthless when you compare it to the previous week. (Nahh, they won't do that as I assume they
want to get rid of these DVDs in the store hence why the prices are low and that there is the $5 off
coupon on any DVD this week.) If you can combined it with that $5 off $20 or more spent coupon, that
would be a pretty good deal on a couple of those TV sets.

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

Just got back from Rite Aid and I picked up The Ride Back with Anthony Quinn $4.99 and I used the $5 off for a $9.99 DVD to snag 3:10 to Yuma [Special Edition] with Glenn Ford and Van Heflin.

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

Just got back from Rite Aid where I picked up Diner (1982) / Liberty Heights (1999) - Comedy Double Feature for $4.99 after coupon. Spotted Mississippi Burning (1988) and a couple other OOP titles that I may go back for. It's too bad you can only use the coupon for 1 DVD per visit.

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

Found The Letter with Bette Davis for $4.99 after the $5 off coupon. I waited too long to snag it from Amazon for that price so it was a nice surprise that it popped up , of course it will probably be at Big Lots for $3 soon.

This is the first Rite Aid that i have seen Box Sets, they had Flintstones season 3 & 4 at $12.99 each and Wonder Woman $12.99 I think it was season 2.

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

Found some DVDs that were on my wishlist The Stepford Wives (original) $7.99 after coupon, Death Wish $4.99 after coupon and The Hunter with Steve McQueen overpaid for this a little $7.99 what the heck it was there so I nabbed it.

Saw some more box sets Flintstones $12.99 and Elviras Box of Horror $9.99 with six movies I skipped that since I had a few already.

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

I missed out on the Wonder Woman Complete Series set at Big Lots so ended up getting Seasons 1 - 3 at Rite Aid for $4.99 each ($9.99 - $5) for a grand total of about $15. So I paid $9 more than if I had found the Complete Series for $6 @ Big Lots, but still a good deal.

I also snagged:

Veronica Mars S1 ($9.99 - $5) to go with my S2 from Big Lots ($3)
Night Court S2 ($9.99 - $5)
Welcome Back Kotter S1 ($9.99 - $5)

Also grabbed: Shampoo ($9.99 - $5), I Married a Monster From Outer Space ($12.99 - $5) and Glengarry Glen Ross ($12.99 - $5)

Overall, not a bad haul. Too bad the $5 coupon expired yesterday.

Damn, I guess we get the short end of the deal out here in SoCal.

According to the Rite Aid website:

*Please Note: For the Los Angeles and San Diego markets, the effective dates are August 7, 2009 through August 13, 2009"

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

I got the Ben Stiller Show today for $9.99-$5.00 That is some funny stuff. It was back when Andy Dick did more than just live up to his surname. Veronica Mars seasons for $4.99 after coupon is a great deal. That is a really good show> The writing and acting is topnotch. Kristen Bell should be a huge star. She has got a lot of talent and range.

Re: DVDs at Rite Aid

Checked mine tonight. NO BOX SETS. A small selection of $6.99-$7.99 dvd's that didn't qualify for the coupon due to being under $9.99, & a few newer releases I didn't care about at $15-$20 locked in a case.
