Big Lots Part 4

Re: Big Lots Part 4
Hit all 3 local stores again (Pierce County, WA ) Found probably 80% of the box sets mentioned. No Dallas, No Drew Carey. No ER, No Friends, No Nip/Tuck Blu Ray, No Blade, And most importantly to me, NONE of the most recent batch of classic Warner Brothers titles with Annie Oakley, East Side West Side, Cabin In The Sky etc.
I think I saw all the other boxes mentioned the last few days.
I grabbed only one Roots, mine did have all 4 discs (sigh)!
I am now officially broke with maxed cards (btw, did anyone notice BL is now offering In house credit at 9.9%?)

Re: Big Lots Part 4
Didn't make it to Richmond today... Not sure if I will this weekend. We'll see... I'm only looking for other ER seasons but I haven't seen anything specific reported here yet other than 2, 3, and 7 (I'm the only one to find 9 so far, that I can tell).
That said, I went up to the Georgetown location and they had a much smaller selection of the box sets with most of the same titles as Eastland.
But they have these that I didn't see there... NFL Vault 1960-1970, Wonder Woman S3, the Denver Broncos (why couldn't this be the Niners... grumble), The O.C. S3, Dukes S5 and one lone copy of Smallville S4 - which sounded like multiple floaters.
If I see specific seasons of ER that I'm looking for (any but 2, 3, 7, 9) posted here then I will drive to Richmond. And I can make an excuse to check Mt. Sterling as well since I need to head that way at some point soon...
Oh! I also stopped by the other Lexington location and they just got in 5 of those flat boxes full of the WB titles. Most of the 2 disc SE's were there... Right Stuff, Wild Bunch, Last Samurai, Gothika, etc. Already have them all but they are now overflowing at that store. Hopefully they'll get sets in the next few days since Eastland had the same display out last weekend.
Picked up Jeremiah Johnson (keepcase) and a Diet Coke.

I was in that same store earlier in the afternoon. The cashier indicated they had just received 12 boxes of DVDs the night before and had sat them out that morning.
Interested to know if you find anything at that Richmond location. I do a fair amount of traveling through KY and might have to work out a trip that direction.
That other Lexington location still has nothing but a few Super Bowl sets (you mentioned they lacked anything a day or two ago).
At another store, there was about 8-10 copies of the LA Lakers Complete History but very little of any other sets. Strange...

Re: Big Lots Part 4
I've now gotten almost everything I want.
I picked up a couple extra Smallville S7 Blu and Nightmares and Dreamscapes, if anybody has Animaniacs 1-2 or ER S9 they'd like to trade.
(edit: see signature for remaining wants/haves)

Re: Big Lots Part 4
Just hit a Big Lots right before closing. Found Vols. 2 of Animaniacs and Superfriends. Didn't see Vol. 1 of either. Also spotted: Blade: The Complete Series, S1 of Life Goes On & Knots Landing, a season of Friends, and a bunch of different Dallas seasons.

Re: Big Lots Part 4
Not certain if these were posted yet, but I found Mr. Skeffington, Pat and Mike, Annie Oakley, Wife Versus Secretary, Cabin in the Sky, My Reputation, David Copperfield and Father of the Bride today in Wisconsin.
They also had lots of copies of The Philadelphia Story, Born to Kill (really awesome noir!), The Petrified Forest (same thing as before), The Right Stuff, Ninotchka (a lot of fun!), Woman of the Year (my favorite Hepburn performance after The African Queen), etc.
I swear Big Lots is a dream come true for classic film lovers.

Re: Big Lots Part 4
Mine isn't putting everything out at once. Seems like they empty a few boxes, wait for them to sell down, then empty some more. They dont care that there are different titles not displayed. They just see them as "dvd restock". So I have to go back daily to see which new ones they put out.
(and if you ask about backstock, they claim every time that everything they have is out - LIARS!)
