It's the same, just in a different colored case with a different cover.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2
Yesterday I ran across a $3 display in the WM I visit most often; from which the $5 dump bin has vanished totally. Not a lot that interested me, but I found a favorite kid's show--Jimmy Neutron Fusion Confusion. I wonder if we'll see $3 DVDs in Wally Mart on a regular basis. That would be nice.

Not sure if this is in all Wal-Marts, but I found Eastwood's Pale Rider BD, regularly priced for $10 in the Macon, Ga. store. Also Robocop BD for $10.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2
This morning I noticed Wal-Mart has all five Harry Potter films marked down to nine dollars each. They are the original releases with new slipcovers that match up nicely. I didn't have the first three films so I picked them up.
Buyer beware, my Chamber of Secrets copy included only the Bonus Disc of Special Features and not the one with the actual movie. I am going to try and take it back tommorow provided they will let me exchange my opened copy. I'm going to have them check it at the store to be sure this time.

^ At a glance, it appeared several/all of these had movie cash to the new film. I did pick one up to look and I believe the value was $7.50 and it was only good til 8/2.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2
My Wal-Mart got rid of the 4 way island display and put all the $5 DVDs on one huge wall display next to office supplies. The bad thing is there is no order to it. It's actually a pain to look through, especially the top rows.

Went back to return my copy of Chamber of Secrets and notice in another display they had the 9$ HP movies in wide screen, although I'm not sure if these had movie cash and they certainly didn't have the pretty new slipcovers.

Got Iron Giant SE (with disc loose in case) for $5 and The American Dream: The Dusty Rhodes Story (the button on the front didn't work) for $4 in a shockingly well organized bargain bin.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2
so i just glanced by the DVD section in my Walmart today, not expecting to find anything mind you but curious nonetheless.
went by the $5.00 section, not a bin, but shelves, nothing marked $3.00 or the titles that were mentioned in the Walmart thread.
but, i happened to notice a section towards the back. nothing remarkable about the shelf, no price banner on top and no prices listed below the DVDs even, just a plain old shelf with rungs of DVDs. no title grabbers, but old releases it would seem.
didn't notice anything good, but i glanced towards the back of one rung, not even sure what the DVD in front was and lo and behold i saw the 2-disc "Babel"! it was the only one. i didn't even love the movie on first viewing, but wanted to see it again and for $3.00 why not! considering it is priced much more online. no "Flags" or anything else remotely good however. also, saw "Breakdown" in the way back of another rung of DVDs
still, no price on it as i picked it up and sure enough it was a floater! still took it not knowing what it would ring up as and to tell you the truth floaters doesn't always mean a death sentence.
it was the last thing i would ring at the self checkout counter as i wanted to wait and hold my breath, plus i didn't want to pack it in with my other stuff since it had that floater disc. i rung it and it needed approval (i think because it is Rated 'R'), of course the checkout girl grabbed it from me, flung it underneath the scanner as i watched in absolute terror
but, it rang up $3.00, i opened it at home and it had some very easily wiped away marks and now gleams perfect in the light.
all in all, not too bad for looking on a lark.
