Are the Lions Gate 4 Packs available online? I was thinking they must be Wal-Mart exclusives - they don't seem to be for sale through the WM website, though.

I've looked for the pack with Slaughter High for a couple months and have never found it. Every store I've been to only has the Leprechaun/Pumpkinhead 2/Wishmaster set. No Reaper bundles either - I'm sick of waiting for anything to show up at any local WM stores.

That does suck beyond belief. I have to wonder what the thinking was there... it would appear that anyone interested in a film called RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD 3 would prefer an unrated version to an R-rated version when one is available.

Maybe -- with the release of the original on Blu -- they'll finally put it on Blu-ray uncut. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem like this a high enough priority title for them to bother with a double-dip DVD.

Didn't see it but if you really need it they have it separately

Of course it's twice the price of the 4 pack

Regarding Return of the Living Dead 3; I own the rated version (only version avaliable on DVD) and throughly enjoy it... one of my favorite horror movies. So while not ideal don't let the edited version scare you off, it's still a very good movie and if it can be had cheaply it's definitely worth it even if they double dip us later (unlikely for a lower tier title).

A new 2/7.00 display. Didn't pay too much attention except for this one:
Scorpion King/King Kong 3-disc

Some others I kind of remember:
Red Dawn/?
2 American Pie moves (not theatrical)

Sorry, drawing a blank. Mostly Big Lots kind of stuff. Some good stuff, but nothing spectacular (except maybe the Scorpion / KK one).

I have the UK DVD release of ROTLD 3 and it is fully uncut. Problem is that it's not in OAR.

How much were the Lions Gate Packs? I'd be interested in picking one up just to have ROTLD 3 in Widescreen.

If you are interested in this 2 pack be sure and look through them. I found some had the standard single disc Collector's Edition of Scorpion King and others had the 2 disc Limited Edition that includes the movie soundtrack CD.
Both included the 3 disc version of King Kong.

ROTLD 3 is included as part of a $5 pack with 3 other movies - Dead and Gone, Boy Eats Girl, & Return of the Living Dead Necropolis (so $1.25 each).

I was thrilled to get ROTLD 3 itself for $7.50 used...

Did ROTLD 3 have any special features? If so, did they carry over to the 4 pack?

Not bad. I'll have to keep my eye out on the ROTLD pack. Thanks!

2 commentaries; not sure if they're included in the 4pack but I would guess so (I assume they just pressed the same edition).

BTW DVDtalk's review of ROTLD 3 is really good and highlights specific differences between R-rated and unrated version; most of which seem minor.

Saw The Orphanage for $5 at Wal-mart, that's a ridiculous price for what I consider to be one of the best movies of 2007.

Finally found the 'Reaper' bundle at an out of town store today. Picked up the two 'Charlie's Angels' bundles as well. Other bundles I spotted -

$19.96:
Bewitched Seasons 1 & 2 (I believe these were colorized)
Bewitched Seasons 3 & 4
Married With Children Seasons 3 & 4

$17.96:
Little House on the Prairie Seasons 1 & 2
Little House on the Prairie Seasons 3 & 4

And Walker, Texas Ranger Season 5 was $14.96 - the others were all $39.99.

Beauty and the Beast Seasons 2 & 3 are $14.95 each as well.

The Wal-Mart website has Stargate SG-1: The Complete Stargate SG-1 Series Collection (54-Disc) (Widescreen) for $79.96(list price $329.98). Maybe not a great deal but seems like a good deal. 97 cent shipping makes it worth not going into Wal-Mart too.

Don't forget to check the links related to the title down the page if you go to the site. Complete Farscape, Complete Stargate Atlantis, etc. seem to be on sale too.

Saw many copies of the 2-Disc Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Star Trek (J.J. Abrams) in the dump bin today. This was in Lexington, KY at the Nicholasville Rd. store. I know some have scored these for $5 in the past, but this was the first time I'd seen them at this price.

Strangely, my nearest store has pretty much cleared out their dump bin - yet they've had dozens of copies of both of those titles in a separate display for months - still marked over $20. I wonder if they will ring up for $5 at every store, regardless of shelf tags.

Also saw a few older live-action Disney films on an endcap for $6 - not a great deal, but I picked up The Black Hole.

Went in today for a "Site to Store" pickup and discovered the smaller of the 2 WM here totally revamped their DVD section and now has a *better* selection than the larger store!

Found "King of Queens" S1/S2 & S3/S4 2-packs for $19.95/each.

Also "Bewitched" S3/S4 for $19.95.

Didn't have lots of time so didn't look around fully but those 3 were totally worth the trip.

Was Star Trek the one- or two-disc edition?
