Question.

When you say "Blown Away" do you mean the Nicole Eggert film?

Found Raging Bull 2-Disc Collector's Set in the $7.50 section today. They had several copies. Nice!

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

there's a lot of award-winning DVDs for $6, but most of them are full screen. Too bad.

I was excited to see Chariots of Fire and some others only to be disappointed with the format.

They also have Monster's Ball original release in the $4 display, and the same edition in the Award-dvds for $6!

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

I forgot to mention that at the local Walmart I saw three copies of A Different World, Complete First Season, for $5. Not my kind of tv show, but awfully cheap nonetheless for a complete season.

Found here too, but surprise! Volume 1 is $13... ?!?

This does appear to be the corrected version based on the blurb on the back: "All-New Introduction by Whoopi Goldberg". Supposedly this only appears on those sets where the PC editing has been fixed and unedited toons are presented.

Well, stopped by mine the other day and they've returned to the crappy dump bins and have removed the shelving unit...

I don't know. When I saw the $13 price I didn't bother to even pick it up off the shelf.

Same here... 1 store has the old dump bin back the other doesn't have either... not that it matters as I'll probably be hard pressed to ever dig through one of those again.

Me neither. Funny, I stopped by another WM and they had the shelving off to the side (keeping the aisle wide open). Still not sure what's up with these wide and clear aisles... You can now drive a car through with room to spare.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

A Different World Season 1 was in my dump bin for $5.

I grabbed Dragon Hunters with exclusive comic for $5 too, after remembering this review:

That's so the immense fat freaks that use the Walmart-provided electric scooters can maneuver through the store more easily than they could with all the bins and displays that used to be in the aisles.

Seriously, it's probably to be compliant with ADA and local fire regulations.

Not here... I *still* got "trapped" behind a woman and her 4 kids who took up the entire isle and then *stopped* to chat with someone!

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

The aisles have nothing to do with fire safety. Has to do with exits and blocked aisles. With the bins, there were always room to pass through.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

My local had a good size $3 DVD display tonight. Many of the same titles Big Lots had but I picked up a few. The best find for me was Wrestlemania III. Hulk vs Andre. Also picked up Lock Up w/ Stallone. Final Cut w/ Robin Williams. Had about 30 different titles.
