Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

Saw a Halloween 4 and 5 double feature at Wal Mart for only $5 that I had never seen before, I'm assuming it's a cheap cash-in on the DVD release of Halloween II. It said Divimax on the back so I'm assuming it's just a repackage of both discs in the one DVD box? Anyone know?

Yes it is a repack and for $2.50 each it's a good deal (I like 5 alot I think it's underrated).

Okay, good to know. I just hate the double feature DVDs that cram two movies on one disc and sometimes leave out bonus features to do so. Unfortunately this Wal Mart is about 20 minutes away so this weekend I think I'll stop by the one closer to me to see if they have this.

They've had that since last year's Halloween sale. I think it's a great deal seeing how if you buy them separately, it would cost $20.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

A couple of Universal Westerns showed up in a special $5 display box at the front of our local Wal-Mart.

I picked up "No Name On the Bullet" with Audie Murphy and "When The Daltons Rode" with Randolph Scott. The Murphy western is a particularly strong film and one of his best.

Other Uni westerns like "Bend of the River", "Law and Order" and "Rooster Cogburn" have been in the $5 bin for a while now.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

I can't find the sams club thread but if I was a dvd collector or bluray collector I would check there right about now.

I found Space (some kind of scifi series) for 18 bucks. They had a few four pack dvd's and some dvd's for 4.88. Some for 8. Tron is still 12 bucks there...probably riding the hype from the upcoming movie.

One of those four packs had The Secret Garden, The Witches, the neverending story, and 5 children and it but they are all full frame. Still I think it is cheaper than Amazon for the 4-pack dvd.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

My walmart just re-set the whole $5 section, saw 21 Jump Street Season 1, Have Gun will travel season 1, lots of "wal mart exclusive" singles (like Jaws 25th).

Every title at my walmart has been switched out-

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

^Same is happening here. I went to 2 stores yesterday to take a quick look-see and *everything* had been removed from the shelves. I really thought that odd to do in the middle of the day. It seems as if this should be done during the overnight hours. Of course, we're talking WM and logic here...

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

Our Wal-Mart here at 183 and 45 just totally changed out all their DVD titles... I just picked up Star Trek Enterprise: Season 1 for $19.99. They also had Star Trek Voyager for the same price... that's the lowest I've EVER seen it. Too bad they only had the first seasons of each... I would've easily picked up all of STE for that price.

In the Blu-ray section there's now an entire section of double-feature discs. Too many to remember all priced from $14.96 to $19.96.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

Lots of rearranging going on yesterday at the local Wal-Mart with many empty slots. Blu-rays priced at $10 and $15 were in several locations. I did buy season 2 of "Dynasty" for $9.00. Some others were also that price.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

My closet Wal-Mart also has updated their DVD sections. Many new $5 and $10 titles. I picked up The Orphange for $5. They also had many copies of the TV special, "Merry Madagascar," for only $2.00.
