The Searchers (1-disc that was the first disc of the 2-disc SE)

All the titles were $4 except for The Perfect Score which was $5.
At mine these were in a small display near the front registers with the $4 sale displayed above.

Quite a few Clint Eastwood titles and MGM titles including The Dirty Dozen.

I have seen these sets for $12.96 at 2 Walmarts. I think this is the new in-store price. I purchased Season 4 to finish my collection.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

Just got back and they changed the TV section yet again.

Gone are the Smallville sets.

They now have the following.
Battlestar Galactica Seasons 1-4.0 for $16.96 per
Buck Rogers (1970's Tv series) $14.96

They also had slots for:
Gunsmoke $? I think under $20
Andy Griffith $12.96

^ Spotted the shelf tags for the BSG sets last weekend. After tax, the cost is on par with the recent Amazon prices some missed out on.

I got BSG S3 as well. I still can't find it in my heart to grab S2 or S4 due to the split releases.

I've seen it at 2 different stores here in Des Moines IA for $19.96 so doesn't appear to be isolated.

S2 is still $39.96 for now.

S3 appears to be gone for good....I picked it up for $29.96 a week or 2 ago and saw it at several different Walmarts as well.

It's been a week or so since I saw and picked up S3. Looks like I may need to revisit.

I think if you're buying anything Warner Bros. from now on, you can probably expect this. I bought 4 dvds through Amazon last week. 3 were eco cases and all 3 Warner.

Re: Wal-Mart Bargains Thread #2

Last night I picked up Pale Rider for $4.

$5 DVDs at Walmart are $4 now. Is it a temporary price reduction?

Yeah, I ordered it from Amazon about a month ago and all but the first film are packaged in eco cases. I'll probably just swap them out when I get around to watching the set.

I saw a TON of Fox TV-DVDs for $12.00 at my local Wal Mart: American Dad! (repackaged), Reba, etc. They also had a ton of multi-season TV-DVDs for $19.96, but that's old news.

Yeah, I bought this today and was happy until i opened it up and saw the bullshit eco cases. However for $15 this was still a great deal. Almost went for the Mcqueen set but i already own two of the movies already, hate when that happens.

Yep, that's the case here now as well. I picked up "Voyager" S1 today for $19.96, S2 is still $39.96 and S3 is gone. I had picked S3 up a couple of weeks ago myself at that $29.96 price. It stinks that S2 is *still* $39.96...

As others have mentioned...

I saw all seasons of "Reba" for $12/each, and the BSG sets are all now $16.96/each.
