TV Week in Amazon's Gold Box (May 18-24)...Early warning for your wallet
"Starting on Monday, May 18, 2009, seven shows on DVD or Blu-ray will be featured as the Deal of the Day in the Amazon.com Gold Box. The deals will run from May 18 to May 24. Discounts on each deal are available until 11:59pm on the day they are offered (or until they're gone).
In a addition to the Deal of the Day, we will offer a lunchtime deal on a different TV DVD each day from May 18-22, starting at 10 a.m. PST. Discounts on each deal will be available only while supplies last."
I know this is early, but I thought some people might like the heads up so you can save some cash. I'm sure a lot of you remember the week they did of all HBO shows...I'm sure your bank accounts haven't forgot. If these deals are anything like that week get ready to spend again.
During the HBO week I bought Six Feet Under ($60), Deadwood ($65), and Extras ($15)...all complete series sets. I think The Wire and Sopranos were also in there...can't remember exactly.
I just wanted to alert everyone to this, so feel free to let the thread fade away and we can bump it in a week.

Good thing I get paid just before the sale starts.
I'm betting that the majority of the sales will be for shows I already own. Just my luck.

Probably Firefly and Lost on Blu. Firefly I have and Lost I can do without until it comes free in a cereal box.

Hopefully we'll get some clues again to better prepare ourselves for the deals to come.

It'd be nice if they'd include HBO shows again. I regret not picking up The Wire complete series in their last sale.

Agreed, although with all the negative commentary on the packaging, I decided not to bite (though as I recall, it was a heckuva good price). Anyone know if there are any plans to rework the packaging??

How about $60 for Full House again!?! I hesitated and they increased the price again later on in the afternoon after the last time it was on sale =(

I'm hoping for Northern Exposure complete for around $80. It was a deal of the day quite a while ago, maybe and year and a half ago, and I passed on it. I've been regretting that and have been looking for a similar deal ever since.
Seinfeld for $60 would be amazing as well. Or a really good price on Twin Peaks. I have the season sets and a Korean dvd of the pilot, but I've been wanting to get the new set since it was released.

Most deals are between 50-66% off MSRP, so anything below that would be really rare.
I'm expecting 1 or 2 very good deals and a few poor ones.

Reallly, really hoping for In Plain Sight to be part of the sale.
Also, Sarah Connor & CSI Blu-Ray would be nice.

I think I own everything on TV I want right now. I still haven't touched Six Feet Under from the HBO sale. I'm a bit intimidated by it.

Only a couple of things I would consider jumping at, I'll keep my eye on this thread.

Personally, I'd like to see Wild Wild West and Little House on the Prairie Complete Series sets as part of this TV-themed Gold Box week.
On BD, Cranford and Dexter Season 2 are high wants, but I'll hold on any TV on DVD purchases until this themed week has passed (just in case).
