The Miami store is clearing their stuff out, though. Last week it was 40% off, and there's a big sign in thier window that says "CD and DVD Clearance."

The sales is on at Chesterfield 30% off. I picked up LADY SNOWBLOOD for $17.50 plus tax.

I hope the clerk is right about Brentwood keeping a full stock of DVDs. I'd like to have at least one store in the St Louis area that has a wide selection of DVDs for browsing. It's not mentioned on the list of stores not participating in the sale.

Farmington CT store is 30% off CDs and DVDs. Sadly, both the Simsbury and Farmington stores are taking their sweet time putting red stickers on everything. A worker said that eventually the prices will change to 40% off and so on. The Farmington store used to have a huge CD/DVD section. There's a ton of empty CD racks so I think they've been reducing their inventory all along.

Went to the Union City store today and it was 40% off all DVD's and Blu-rays. Picked up a few blu's for $17.99 each. :thumbsup:

Went back yesterday to check a few titles and the guy there said to check back on Monday and they should be 50 or 60 % off DVD and BD's. Hope thats true! Still a few more titles I would liek to get at half off.

If your store is using the red sticker method, what is and isn't on sale is anyone's guess. Make sure your store isn't on the list of excluded locations first!

I know the Dearborn, MI store is up to 50% also.

Troy, MI is only 40%

Stores are increasing the % off discount, but at the stores near me, very little has been stickered. Therefore, most of what is on the floor remains full price.

The NoVa locations are all at 30% off which is the same discount as the usual Borders Rewards coupon. I'm waiting for 50%+

Went to one store they had 40% off ALL DVDs.

Went to another store, they only had 40% off red tagged DVDs.

If anyone is near Union City, CA, they just put all DVD, CD and BD's at 50% off starting today. Picked up a couple of BD's for $14.50 and $14.99.

The store in Provo, Utah was at 30% off last week, and I bought "Still Life" for $21. Now they're at 40%, and I bought The Three Colors Trilogy for $22. They still have a ton of stock left (including quite a few Criterions), and when/if they get to 50% I'll probably pick up quite a few.

Stopped in my nearest Borders after breakfast and everything was 50%. Some nice deals, but things -- especially BD -- didn't seem to flying off the shelf. I'll check back later in the week and compare with Borders about a block from my office.

Word of caution about some of these sales is that they may stop and then ship off whatever is left.

I went to one today that was at 50% and asked how long would it be on? I ask this of the guy in the DVD section and then the cashier and got the same answer from both. They did not expect this sale to go beyond 40%, that all not sold would have been shipped off. Therefore they said this 50% could last another week or 2, maybe.

Now for what was said in the other Borders coupon thread, about 75% off select items at some stores for a blowout. Maybe that means that these sales will continue and the stuff not shipped out.

As it seems some stores are ahead of the curve, so to speak, it will be interesting to see what happens at those that have already reached 50%.

As another poster said, things, even at 50% do not seem to be flying off the shelves, so I do not know....maybe they will continue it rather than pay to ship and then liquidate.
