Re: Inetvideo.com Blu-ray Sale

There are some really good deals here but the shipping is ridiculous.

I have a feeling some of these prices will hold, so I'll wait till they have their free shipping over $50 event.

I was like, "Excellent! There are several $10 titles that I'd like to pick up so I can hit the $49 mark for free ship....ship....uh....wait a second....where's the free shipping thing? Oh, SONOVABITCH!!!! DAMMIT!!!"

Amazon needs to match this, STAT!

If Amazon matches that Austin Powers price, I'm in.

Re: Inetvideo.com Blu-ray Sale

I would totally buy Zach and Miri BD for $17.99, but you guys are right, shipping kind of kills it for me.

EDIT: I take that back. I just noticed it was the Canadian version. Bah.

Re: Inetvideo.com Blu-ray Sale

Good thing I checked here... I was about to click the purchase button I also thought $10.45 for shipping was a bit steep considering each of the four Bluray discs were $9.99 each.

Good to know that they have free shipping on orders over $50 as I will just wait until they have that deal and will see if I can get the same disc's plus a few more.

I wouldn't necessarily plan on it - last time they had BD's on sale for $9.99, I bought a bunch. Then a few weeks later they had the free shipping option, and all those $9.99 titles went up to $12.99 each.

Re: Inetvideo.com Blu-ray Sale

I tried clicking and saw that they were offering 15% off shpping on orders over $25.. Not a lot but better than nothing. However 9 out of the 10 blu-rays that I clicked on brought me back to the sale home page. I would imagine that means that the items were out of stock, or maybe I'm missing something. Thanks to the OP though, there are some good prices and it was worth a try.

Re: Inetvideo.com Blu-ray Sale

Well since three of the titles for $9.99 were in the BLUE tier group:

http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=858316

"Becoming Jane", "Doomsday" and "The Host", I decided what the heck and clicked anyway. ;-)

With the shipping it came out to $12.60 per disc which is not terrible but I like and try to keep my purchases around $10 a disc or less....

I also picked up "1408" but it is not even in any of the tiers so I guess I will have to review the video quality of the disc.

A LOT of those titles are Canadian versions (not that there's anything wrong with that!) Just be aware, if you are not a fan of bilingual covers.

that thread is subjective, and certainly not the be all and end all of why you should buy a movie, can't you just buy a movie because
YOU like the movie and want to own it.

But of course I can! I do that way to much... for example... The Princess Bride. That is coming to BR on Wednesday and it is already ordered. I have seen the movie well over 2 or 3 dozen times and will watch a few dozen more in HD in my theater.

I also have been snatching up all the BOND films.... again... even though I own them all already on VHS and DVD... and lets not even talk about Star Wars! ;-)

Now the four that I ordered I have never seen and the only one I really even heard of and watched the trailer on TV was 1408. Sometimes I find it fun to get moives I have never heard of. Mr Brooks, Shooter, Arlington Road are just a few that I found online for dirt cheap and picked up and really enjoyed to the point I will watch them quite a few times.

And of course the thread is subjective, (the internet is for that matter ;-) but I find that when viewed on my 130" screen, that so for all the of the ones in the BLUE tier looked extremely good to the point some have told me it looked like they were watching it on a plasma display... and I would have to concur.

Re: Inetvideo.com Blu-ray Sale

inetvideo has really improved their selection. From about 70 Blu-ray titles a few months ago to about 350 titles today.

Re: Inetvideo.com Blu-ray Sale

If you check back from time to time it looks like some of the titles that were sold out come back.

Re: Inetvideo.com Blu-ray Sale

I picked up:
The Mist
Corpse Bride
Igor
Doomsday

Total was $51 shipped. Shipping cost sucks but overall not a bad price for 4 BD's
