last Thr, the link in the original post no longer worked so I tried loading up my cart and putting in the code anyway. got a invalid code error. tried again today and it worked. now I'm not sure if I entered the code wrong last Thr (I almost typed in 'bluewa100' instead of 'bluwa100' today) or if the promotion is back on. of course, I was going to get the Sony 550 and it's gone up $49 since last Thr!

I went all the way the final 'place order' screen and the $100 discount was there.

the Sony 550 went back down $30 so I went ahead and placed the order. the $100 off still works! again, I entered the 'BLUWA100' code today for the first time and it still worked.

Does anyone have the list of titles available in this promotion? I'd like to give it a shot if it still works.

note that you have to buy the player from amazon, not one that is being sold by one of their partners.

I'm not getting this to work at all...

I just tried and it works just fine.
I put the Sony S550, Constantine, Batman Begins, Constantine and Superman Returns in my shopping cart, then entered the BLUWA100 promotional code during checkout and the price dropped $100- to about $312-.

So, my advice is:

1) Put a qualifying Blu Ray player in your cart (I'm not sure which ones qualify besides the S550, but make sure they ship from Amazon).
2) Put 4 qualifying Blu Ray discs in your cart (Once again, I'm not sure which ones qualify, but the lists in the previous posts would be a good place to start).
3) Enter the BLUWA100 code during checkout.

I'd be interested to hear opinions from people on the upconverting capabilities of these players. Especially if you had or have a Toshiba HD-DVD player.

I'm looking to hop in on this deal (if it returns) and really just want to buy a BD player that (outside of its BD capabilities) can match or outperform the upconversion of the Toshiba A30 that I have.

I do have a PS3 but would like a dedicated BD player.

This deal still looks to be good. I have the panasonic 35 and four movies in my cart and the $100 promotion is still linked to it. Technically this deal was good til Dec. 31st - but with Amazon you never know. I am waiting to see if the player will come down some more since they jacked the price up about $50 since I originally put them in the cart. Still kicking myself for hesitating on the Samsung deal with 8 movies (which Amazon pulled the day it was listed).

The items I have in the cart for the deal are: the panny 35 and movies are batman begins, michael clayton, Vendetta and Corpse Bride.

I agree about the Samsung + 8 movies deal but you didn't have to hesitate very long to miss that one. I went with the Samsung + 4 movies.

This rebate form mentions "original cash register receipt" being needed - what would count as that from Amazon?

A packing list usually won't do for a rebate. Go to Amazon.com, click on your account, type in your email and password, then click on recent orders, open the correct order, and then click on 'Need to print an invoice' near the bottom of the page. That is the same as a receipt.

I've used the packing list from Amazon shipments for most of my rebates. They include date, price, and description -- and, to me, look more like a receipt than invoices printed from the website. Never had a problem using these.
