be careful of sweet and lowdown folks, the only ones i've seen at big lots is full screen only. i already own it myself which has full and wide on it but i wanted to pick it up for a friend of mine so i was kind of irritated.

So far, the only place I've seen any of the new titles in the St Louis area is the Watson Rd store.

I saw one copy of "Forever Darling". It was in a slim case, so I assume it was part of a broken up "Lucy and Desi Collection".

None of the copies of "There Was a Crooked Man" had security stickers on them, although they appeared to be factory-sealed.

The copies of "A Man for All Season" were not the Special Edition, but the earlier release.

Anyone else get a previously viewed copy of Stranger than Fiction? Mine was a used copy from Family Video. The DVD looked brand new though. No scratches.

The Diamond Dogs digital copy expired on 7/29/2008.

Hero Wanted included a digital copy that also expired on 7/29/2008.

For once the Blue Springs, MO location was a gold mine. I've never seen their DVD rack stuffed like it was today. I was having to pull piles of movies out and stack them on the floor.

I did notice that some titles had some copies cut and others stickered, so it's worth checking every copy. Oddly most of the copies of Anna Christie were not only missing security stickers, they weren't even wrapped. If you were so inclined you could open the case and just take the disc out.

I always though the "digital copies" were a bit of a joke. Didn't realize they expired; that make them a total joke.

BTW, of this current batch, I highly recommend Ninotchka, Anna Christie, Clash By Night (& for Lugosi fans) Return Of The Vampire.

I gotta go back and see if I overlooked The Butcher Boy, if not I'm going to have to beg someone to buy one for me and trade or just buy a copy off of someone.

When a consumer bought Diamond Dogs or the Hero Wanted dvd, they had until 7/29/08 to activate the free bonus digital copy. (The expiration date is on the red sticker on the lenticular cover.)

There would be an activation number inside the keepcase to take advantage of the free offer. The free digital copy offer expired on 7/29/08.

Usually, the consumer will put the digital copy on their notebook computer. Once you activate the digital copy, it does not expire.

Biglots has the Dogma SE + free digital copy for $3 in the current Warner/Sony restock appearing in stores now. You must activate the free digital copy before the offer expires on 6/17/09.
