I got two emails (one for my Border's membership, one that I signed up for long ago for 'special offers'). The email account for my Border's membership - one box set 40% off. The other account - buy two box sets, get both 40% off (in-store only).

Just join borders rewards, it's free unlike Barnes and Noble.

I got the 2 set coupon sent to me, but I can't even find 1 set that I want for a good price. Also the 2 set coupon I got was in-store only.

My daughter wants the 90210 series and with the 40% off it will be $145 and cheaper than others according to DVD Price Search. As I am NOT an afficinado of this series, can anyone state with any degree of accuracy is this a pretty good deal - it is a pre-order for November and would be a Christmas present???

yes, the coupon is good for any dvd online. probably won't be able to get away with it in-store though. just choose ship-to-store if under 25.

All the local stores have long since implied the no-receipt no-return rule.

Will this be a special deal or is it just a season 1-6 bundle?

You can get seasons 1-4 for $20 on and off at a place like Wal-Mart. You may be able to get season 1-5 cheap come november at best buy. They had many sets last year between $14 & $20.

It will be for a NEW boxed set of 45 disks. And I thought that I had seen them for $20 or less before but hadn't looked as she never said anything about them as something she wanted until now....

Thanks for the feedback!

The new site still has the "check store inventory" option. It is under the "add to cart button," but not every item has the feature available. The old style "search inventory" continues to work for me. I think that is because the cookies on my home and work computers already have the stores in my area saved.

Sucks for me, then. I don't understand why the new site can't give you the search inventory option for every item when the old site could.

That link works, but if you don't have your stores saved, it redirects you to the new site when you go to add a store. Lucky for me, I have my local stores saved from long ago.

in my experience fiddling with it, the ones it doesn't give you the option for are titles no stores carry.

I used the 40% off coupon to order Torchwood series 1 on Blu-ray, or so I thought. I went back to the site today and the item is still in my cart (no longer eligible for the discount, of course). I entered my credit card information and I was pretty sure I had completed my order. Not sure what happened!

You can still add a store by selecting any item for in store pick up. You can then type in your zip code and it will allow you to select a store without redirecting you to the new site. You can only do one at a time, so just keep using the browser's back button to add additional stores.
