Borders.com 40% off boxsets

2 days use code SAJ5110E for 40% off boxset. There are a few deals in there if you look around. I preordered The Universe blu-ray for $11 less than amazon has it.

CombatCraig 09-15-08 06:28 AM

Thanks OP!

Time to fill in the MST3K Collection

"40% Off List Price Any One DVD Boxed Set - Unless Better Online Discount Already Applied"

Devore 09-15-08 08:48 AM

Thanks OP.
Will hopefully find something good.

cinemaphile 09-15-08 09:43 AM

Maybe I'll finally pick up Undeclared. This'll make it $26 - Has anyone ever seen it any cheaper than that anywhere else?

theflicker 09-15-08 10:08 AM

Hurm. Brazil 3 disc for 34.19. I wish this were in the Amazon 54% off sale. What are the odds the price drops some more on this title? Pretty good I would think . . .

Hurm.

Jfunk1 09-15-08 12:04 PM

Thanks, OP. I pre-ordered "Sports Night: The Complete Series 10th Anniversary Set" for $36.59.

Sweet Baby James 09-15-08 12:12 PM

I haven't tried this coupon online yet. In the past, 40% was taken off of 2 items(it didn't take the discount off of a third item). Also, the 40% discount applied to all DVDs, not just box sets. Hopefully this coupon works the same way. Can anyone confirm this?

I think I got it for $24 the week it came out through DDD.

bsmith 09-15-08 12:46 PM

Anyone make two completely separate orders using the code? I did earlier today appearing to be successful but then I received an email that my first order was cancelled seconds before the second confirmation came in.

I sent CS an email for clarification. I'm just trying to see if the item really is no longer available or if some how by using the code twice it rejected my first order. The issue is that the first order is the one I would prefer. If the code really only works once then I will need to cancel the second so I can reorder the first.

costanza 09-15-08 01:10 PM

is $76 for the absolutely fabulous set as good as i'm going to get?

SPRBD 09-15-08 01:47 PM

My wife got the 40% off 1 boxset, but I got a different email trumpeting 40% off 2 boxsets. Weird. They must like me better.

Does that mean you have a different code to share?

FangsFirst 09-15-08 02:30 PM

the 2 boxset code is a test. I have no idea why they do those tests since they codes and coupons get spread around the internet, but there you are.

I see. Is the 40% off one boxset listed at the top of the thread a legit code? I'm not interested in getting into one of these "will they or won't they cancel my order" types of situations.

junglalien 09-15-08 02:47 PM

I'm not sure about this but...It might be 2 items for borders rewards members

It's a legit code.

I'm a Borders Rewards member and 2 items didn't work for me.

Brings down Smallville S7 Bluray to $47 and change. Not quite low enough.

kingtopher 09-15-08 03:42 PM

$34.19 with free shipping for the 5-disc Fanny and Alexander seems like a good enough deal for me to go ahead and order it. It's the only Criterion Bergman that I don't own because I've been reluctant to pay $50 for it. Thanks OP.

I guess. I don't have access to my email now. Where are the codes listed? Are they easy to determine from the email? I assumed they were link-based.

Borders: This is a programmed barcode. Scan or enter barcode #159038220000000000 and Borders Rewards number any time during the transaction.

Ok...so the issue is that it is not a universal coupon but only for those that received the email and have the link. That is why mine got cancelled. No big deal. At least now I understand how it works.
