Broke down and bought the Bogie & Bacall and Hepburn & Tracy sets. With live.com, these are $27. Average of $3.87 each for 7 movies including: Key Largo, Big Sleep, Dark Passage, Woman of the Year, To Have and Have Not, Adam's Rib, and Pat and Mike.

I am very tempted to pick up the Thin Man and another collection with it. So inexpensive... too bad the 10% (i.e 20%) from live.com ended.

I really want that Val Lewton collection but I'm not sure about any of the other ones in the same price range. All the ones I'm interested in I already own. The only one I'm considering is the Thin Man collection, but I've read that most of the movies after the first couple aren't that good. Someone persuade me.

You heard wrong. The Thin Man series is one of the more consistent franchises in film history. The first is absolutely the best, and the others are of variable degrees of 'freshness' after that, but they all succeed as popcorn entertainment on the charm and chemistry of the leads. If you like Nick and Nora in the first film, you should enjoy and look forward to the rest.

Yeah, The Thin Man Collection is classic and they're all entertaining. I picked it up during this sale and they look great. Nicely remastered.

Got my Warner Gangster 1 & 2 sets the other day. I'm tempted to go back and get the third, but not sure what to get for the other. Maybe the Bogart or Garbo collection...

I've noticed the complete Astaire/Rogers collection is no longer available directly through Amazon (only re-sellers). Has this item been officially discontinued? It's a great collection, and this sale may be the last opportunity to grab it at a decent price (either for your own collection or for future re-sell). --Peter
