Does anyone know this: can you apply Borders Bucks to a Pre-Order AFTER the order has already been placed?

Re: The Official Borders Coupon Thread volume 2 - Updated Weekly

I really doubt it. Has the preorder gone into any sort of processing or shipping status? I'd suggest cancelling the existing order and just applying them to a new order, but I get the feeling you might've used a 40% coupon on something that was upcoming? If that's the case, you're probably out of luck.

You have until January 31 to redeem your Borders Bucks. I would advise you to just find something else online or in-store to use your Bucks on. It'll probably be more hassle than it's worth to attempt to have them apply it on your existing order.

I do still, though--which is how I know when it ends.

FF - Are you hearing any inside gossip on the viability of Borders going forward, given their tenuous financial position, and the ailing economy?

Thanks. I got this to work on-line with a $7.99 purchase, so the $10 minimum might not be enforced.

Hi this may sound like a stupid question, but I just couldn't find any answers online. Say if you have a $50 Borders (or any other retailer) gift card, and you only use $30, can you save the remaining $20 for the next transaction, or is the gift card one time use only? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, you can use it later. It will show your remaining balance of the gift card on your receipt.

A heads-up on some bad news regarding borders.com. They raised the prices by 2 dollars and higher across the board on all DVD titles.:(

Interesting, they weren't high enough already? Good thing I used the last of my GC last week. I had planned on never shopping there again when the gift card was used anyways, so no loss to me. There's really no need to support a business that has incredibly inflated prices (compared to other retailers), horrible customer service (can't tell you how much time I've spent on hold), and probably the worst website I've ever visited (although sometimes that's a good thing...ahhmmm 80% glitch). I am surprised they haven't gone bankrupt yet. Are there really that many people out there that do no price matching whatsoever?

I checked on what I ordered last and it was raised $3

Huh?!!!! What the Hell?!!!!

The $39.99 Criterions are now showing $40.99...Higher than list price?!!!!!
Why?

Does anyone know if this goes for their in-store stock too?

How the heck can you sell something for higher than list and expect to stay in business?

Anybody located an updated coupon above 25%?

Again, when they go bankrupt, they will only have to look at themselves. Only stupid management would raise the price on things like DVDs and CDs during a recession.

I have $5 in border bucks. Any 25% or 30% coupon so I can make my last purchase there in the near future?

With 40% off coupon, I can sometime find some good deal. Without the coupon I don't know how they stay in business. Next to go bankrupt.

I certainly hope Borders never goes out of business. Sure, their DVD prices are high, but I expect that from a book store.
But, I mostly buy books from them, which seems like a pretty good deal when they are cover price minus whichever coupon you have with you (I mean noone buys anything for B&N or Borders without a coupon, right?).

Same here. I need to use the $5 in borders bucks by Saturday too. I need a decent coupon.

I buy most of my fiance's nursing books at borders as the 30%/40% coupon usually makes it the cheapest option.

Thanks for the reminder. I think I have $10 to use. Pretty print this page and put it in my pocket or I'll forget.

Glad to know it's not in-store as well.
I prefer to visit the B&M and have the DVD right away, unless none of the stores in my area carry it.
