Yesterday Borders posted on their twitter that they broke apart from Borders UK in 2007 and that announcement was for Borders UK only.

Anyone know if I can use that 30% off list price coupon on those bargain box sets with red price tag? Most are under $20, and they don't have any manufacturer price on their boxes

My mom frequently uses the 30% coupons on the bargain books, so I would imagine you'd be able to use it on the bargain DVDs. A clerk at Borders told her once that the price on the bargain books is considered Borders' regular retail price, so that's why the coupon works. Good luck.

This is the longest I can ever remember not getting some kind of % off coupon from Borders. I wonder if they are going to discontinue the weekly coupon program going forward into 2010 in an attempt to help their bottom line.

Me, too. I haven't seen a Borders coupon since before Christmas. My theory (wishful thinking!) is that they know people will be in a hurry to use the gift cards they got for Christmas, so they want to wait until most of those get spent before they offer more discounts. .....I hope.....

The only deal I found was an extra $5 in Borders Bucks that was valid for the last week of the year. I'm guessing they're not hurting for profit right now and are going to resume it later on. It's not like they have anything else to offer when their selection started dying down.

I received a $25 gift card as a Christmas present, and I've been waiting for a coupon to use it. I decided upon a couple books a few days ago.

I was just trying to be funny. I've been very vocal in that Borders is useful quite often, but they do have that rep of being over MSRP on everything.

Here's a coupon code for 33% (??) off: BSL7108N
If it weren't for these constant emails, I would have forgotten Borders was still in business.

I just got that 33% one as well.
I guess they're either not playing around anymore, or are really determined to start making cash. Good thing I didn't spend my Borders Bucks for this month yet.

is there a link for that 33% off coupon for a printable in-store purchase?
Trevor, no hard feelings. i am here for a coupon that i need to make a last minute purchase, not to make enemies. we all love bargains, but sometimes there's the need to buy something at the 11th hour for some reason.

Thanks much, Dino! Was headed out today to buy two OOP box-sets that are unavailable anywhere else and was dreading paying full retail. This coupon came at the exact right moment!
