I grabbed Entrapment, The Princess Bride (Buttercup Ed), Daredevil (DC), Elektra (DC), and Club Dread (UR). For $4 a piece I couldn't pass on them. Plenty still left at my local store.

Picked up The Princess Bride (Buttercup Edition) after a couple of attempts. This title is definitely going fast - first location had the display right in front of the check-out aisles and it was sold out. The second location had them behind the Electronics department and I managed to snag the final copy.

Thanks for the heads up OP!

I asked the dope working in the dvd section about the $4 section and he had no idea then I looked around a little bit more and about 5 feet from where he was standing was the section of $4 dvd's. The $5.50 movies are now $5 too, not sure if thats old news.

Went to one of my local Wal-Mart's.

Out of the Die Hards.

Guess what I went for.

Yeah.

They had plenty of Elktra, Spaceballs, and Daredevil 2-discs. Quite humorous as these 2-Discs were $1 cheaper than the 1-Disc on the $5 rack next to it

I'll try and check more later this week, but I doubt I will be successful.

Is "Elektra" in widescreen? Our local 'Mart has had full frame "Elektra"s on the $5 cube for months now, but nothing WS.

Thanks OP. I picked up The Princess Bride (Buttercup Edition), but I didn't see Spaceballs. They had plenty of the movies at my Wal-Mart. I'll have to go back and check on Spaceballs another time.

Nothing at the Fair Lakes, VA Wal-Mart though they do have the $20 X-Files Slimlines, and the $13 TV seasons from a previous post.

I only went to one of my 4 local superstores and the $4 rack was so full discs were falling off of it. They had at a minimum 10 copies of every movie and I believe I saw just about every title listed in this thread including Princess Bride and Spaceballs 2-disc'ers.

Wow, great picture and list Shyguy, thanks.

Thought I'd throw this in there as well. I believe Lake Placid, Say It Isn't So & Stuck On You are Fullscreen. Everything else is Widescreen.

Didn't see Elektra this morning. Might have bought it. Too bad I already own Spaceballs. Paid $18 for it when it first came out.

I did pick up the Hellboy 3-disk DC for $9.00 this morning though.

costanza:
Road House is just a plain version with a trailer.

Picked up several titles: Princess Bride (Buttercup Ed), Spaceballs CE, Entrapment, Baby's Day Out, Aliens 3, Say It Isn't So, High Crimes & Elektra.

One Hour Photo is one of my favorite movies ever. Anyone looking for a good blind buy should give it a chance. I got the DVD back when it was $20. My Wal-Mart only stocked widescreen copies of it.

Also, Everyone should be careful with the Die Hard releases: I think they are non-anamorphic. At least the first one seemed to be after I took a look at the back.

I found the dread Pirate PB instead of Buttercup and it was 7 bucks instead of 4.

Wow, lucky you. Is there any difference between the Dread Pirate edition and the Buttercup edition other than the artwork? The contents appear to be the same...

Which version had the Fezzik T-shirt? Was that yet another version?
