Nope. Well, aside from "Dread Pirate" sounding manlier.

NOTE: This re-re-release of The Princess Bride comes in both The Dread Pirate edition and The Buttercup edition – while the packaging is different, the content of the discs in the set is the same.

I picked up the Spaceballs 2-disc, Die Hard 1 and got the last copy of the Princess Bride 2-disc at the Walt-Mart located at 3360 New Germany-Trebein Road Beavercreek, OH(Next to the Fairfield Commons Mall). The display was like the one pictured in post #40. Plenty of copies of all the $4.00 dvd's remained when I was there around 2:00pm today(07/09/08) except for Princess Bride.

And for those also looking for the Hellboy 3-disc for $9.00 at Wal-mart from the thread- http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showthread.php?t=532609, this Wal-Mart had a full supply of copies on the rack for sale. They have a decent supply of $5.00 dump bin titles threre too(located near one end of the front registers).

Thank you, DarthDVD, for starting this thread.

I hope my local store has the Daredevil Director's Cut.

Is the Elektra Director's Cut worth even $4? The 9% rating at Rotten Tomatoes tells me "no", but somebody somewhere had to like this movie.

I haven't watched the copy I bought yet, but on dvdverdict in a review a long time ago said about the DVD- "...the transfer of this disc, while not anamorphic, is simply stunning. ..." http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/diehard.php

The Walmart on Normandie in Torrance, SoCal was picked clean when I went today - save for a few copies of Alien 3 and 2 copies of Elektra. Bought 1 copy of Elektra. Man, that area is teeming with people.

My Wal-Mart was all out of Princess Bride. But I was able to find a copy of Daredevil.

Does Wal-Mart re-stock these displays?

Got PB 2-disc (only two left), SB 2-disc (last one!), and DD DC at the Town and Country, Mo. (Manchester west of 270) on Tuesday. (When did this promo start, again? Tuesday, right? ) Would have picked up Elektra 2-disc but already had it from when FYE.com had it for $5 (or was it $6?) a while back.

Thanks Darth
Ditto! (I wasted too much gas trying to find Spaceballs at Big Lots. But I did find that Batman serial, so it wasn't a total waste....)

Went back to my local WM this morning and picked up DD and Elektra. Had passed at first because I'm not crazy about either movie, but figured I'd see if the director's cuts are any better. At that price, I can always re-sell them later.

It does appear they've restocked at my store since Tuesday. This display was right next to the $5 bin and that area always has heavy traffic, yet there were more copies now than a couple days ago. It might be worth checking back. I did noticed the Buttercup PB was the only empty slot (guess there are fewer to go around since it's OOP).
