If DDD still has it in stock when their 20% sale rolls around, it'll be $60. The big question, though, is whether the WB shop just didn't get ANY or if the print run is really this low.

oh. i had no idea it was announced as a limited print run. dammit. i thought it was just another one of those sets that will eventually show up at costco for really cheap. hmmm...

Anyone have a current 25% off coupon for this place? They put up Wedding Crashers and some other upcoming New Line Blu-rays that I'd like to order, but not without at least the 25% off (30% would be better of course, but doesn't look like that one is active now...)

Laser Movies 11-02-08 09:54 AM

Here's a 25% code for November.

NBBM8

ChefWinduAZ 11-02-08 02:58 PM

Batman: The Complete Animated Series still remains on their site and is $59.99 if you use the 25% off coupon.

Much thanks!

$17.21 for these $22.95 titles isn't quite as good as $16.07, but I think I can live with the extra $1.14 considering I don't pay sales tax and the shipping is fast and free....

Kocheese99 11-03-08 09:29 AM

They cancelled my order for the Complete Batman Animated series last week. Really disappointed as i would have got it for about $55. I guess i'm destined never to own these.

GorillaX 11-03-08 09:47 AM

I'll just buy Batman when DD does their 20% sale

Then call customer service and give them your old order number. They will credit your account with the discount. Of course this was not in writing and it is certainly possible to call on Tuesday and be told no we won't do that. That is me being cynical. I know any order canceled by Warner Bros is gone. They never uncancel an order though at one time they started shipping canceled orders when they redid their shipping as many of us remember.

Well I tried calling today. The item is on their website and you can still order it. However CS still says it is no longer available. I asked if it was ever available and they said they didn't know. They said the new order I placed will eventually be cancelled. They did not apply the 30% discount to the new order. It will be interesting if I actually get it. If anyone sees this set in store please let us know. When I asked if this was available retail, cs said they didn't know and said I should check e-bay.

I checked BB.com an hour or so ago and the website said each of the five stores in my area had it in stock and ready to go. I'm only having a problem with the $75 sticker price when the DD sale brings it down to $56...if they have it in stock come Friday. (It's currently in stock there...)

blokhed 11-04-08 11:20 AM

That doesn't make any sense. Warner Brothers, the company that is producing the set, doesn't have any for their online store? But everyone else does?

blucadet3 11-04-08 12:29 PM

Me Too

Just called. They say if you re-order it will still get canceled. They had no explanation and laughed while thanking me for calling.

I guess I'll try DD even though I've sworn them off after a couple of boners they have pulled. The most recent being making me wait months for items from the b1g1 and having to do a charge back on a return before that.

JJay 11-04-08 12:45 PM

Just went to BB across the street. They had 2 Batman sets. Picked one up and will be returning it if DD doesn't have any on Friday.

That sir, is an excellent plan. Better than being stuck with nothing after selling my other sets on ebay to fund this one.

Thanks for the heads up about the DD sale starting and Batman being at Best Buy. Before I read about DD, I ordered it at Best Buy with in store pick up . I got my e-mail confirmation that it is ready to pick up. BB holds items for 8 days, so if DD has it, I won't pick it up at BB. Its all good.

JJay 11-04-08 02:13 PM

blucadet3...exactly my thought. I had sold all the Batman sets in anticipation of this plan...and I was not going to be denied! :D

Classic Films...no prob. I'm a bit obsessed over stuff like this, so I'm happy to share any info I might have.

whotony 11-04-08 04:53 PM

amazon lists as "in stock"

blucadet3 11-05-08 11:36 AM

Just fyi, but my best buy had 2 copies as well (including the one I bought). So, either its just best buy's usual sucking at stocking things in the ad OR it might actually be pretty limited.

Drama King 11-05-08 01:11 PM

Great Prices on Blu Ray!!

Warner has a holiday sale and has dropped prices!! They have some Blu-Rays for 14.95 dropping them to 11.21 with the 25% code (NBBM8) and others from 19.95 to 14.97 still need 50 for the free ship and these are older titles, but if you don't have them it's a great deal

blokhed 11-05-08 02:10 PM

Is there a direct link to the sale, or do you just have to scroll through all the blu-rays?

Anyone preorder the new Christmas Story DVD or Blu Ray and if so, did you get it? I preordered it in August and it still has not shipped. Just curious.

RickWJ324 11-06-08 07:30 AM

I was also screwed by Warner with the Batman pre-order! If it was just an ordinary store, I could understand it a little more, but this is THE studio that makes the freakin' things!! They had to know how many they were producing, how many they planned on selling on their site, and how much was going to go out to other retailers. It's unacceptable for them to take orders for months, only to wait a couple days before its release and cancel them, leaving everyone to try and find a copy of this "limited" edition item at a retail store. The Best Buy store that I went to got 4 total. Other Best buys in the area had none! Thanks Warner!!
