Is Swimming Pool the rated cut? Not that there was anything wrong with the theatrical version, but...

Went to 4 Big Lots stores the past few days looking for 1 title...no $3.00 "Who's the Boss" for me. Probably won't waste time/gas on any more stores in the Dayton, Oh area. I love/hate Big Lots! Here's what I did pick up:

For $2.00 picked up:
A Carol Christmas (Tori Spelling/Gary Coleman/William Shatner).

For the normal $3.00 each picked up:
Angels in America 2 disc (HBO miniseries with Al Pacino/Meryl Streep)
Lucky Louie
The Notorious Bettie Page

For $5.00 each picked up:
Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer
Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol
(also saw Frosty the Snowman & Santa Claus is Comin' to Town but I have those allready)

The Big Lots on Salem Ave, Trotwood(Dayton), OH just can't sell their Woody Allen box sets- the one which includes "Shadows and Fog". Months later they still have the 5 copies on the wire rack unsold at $13.00 each.

I also saw MY LIFE starring Michael Keaton. It was FS only. If anyone finds an extra MY LIFE WS/FS flipper, I'll buy or trade it.
Careful with those ws/fs flippers...even though the packaging indicates a flipper, there's a good chance the FS only version is inside.....

The Big Lots in West Covina, CA got their shipment. They got EVERYTHING that's been listed. I picked up:

The Devil's Backbone
The 6th Day: SE
Mysterious Island
Guys and Dolls: DE
The Hitchhiker: Vol. 1 (2- Disc) - FINALLY!!!
Bugsy: Extended Cut
Sleepwalkers
Kung Fu Hustle (widescreen)

I also picked this up for $50:

The salesgirl mentioned that they're getting some laptops in the next couple of weeks for like 500/600 bucks.

From Big Lots, this has happened only with Mixed Nuts.
From Walmart and Toys R Us, only Buddy.

Picked up a few nice titles for $3 each at the local BL:

- Who's the Boss?, Season 1
- Bugsy: Extended Cut
- Gattaca: Special Edition
- Capote / In Cold Blood (Double Feature)

Saw a few single titles of Capote and In Cold Blood as well, but couldn't resist the two-pack! They're packaged in a hinged keepcase and are both single-sided widescreen versions, BTW.

I think I can get my hands on an extra Panic Room 3 disc. Anyone willing to trade Clay Pigeons + The Devils Backbone for a Panic Room 3 disc?

Which local Big Lots did you hit, SPRBD? I couldn't find Bettie Page at mine. I'd love to pick that one up.

Thanks.

Culver City. Either somebody beat me there or they only got like 1 copy of each new title. Definately only 1 Bettie Page or I would have picked up an extra copy for a friend.

The Hunt for the BTK Killer was a great movie....
I've seen a few people act here like they were ashamed of buying it....

Small restock at my local store, nothing particularly notable. I did see a couple of the Lord of the Rings movies, but that's it. All I came away with was A Mighty Wind. I was tempted to get the Guitar Hero game though. I'm just not sure I can justify $50 for something last generation when I have already have two current generation systems. They need to do another of those 20% off coupons, that might get me to jump.

If anyone has a copy of The Notorious Bettie Page available please PM me. I'd really like to get a copy. I'll pay for it, or check my local store for whatever you're after. I've also got a copy of Guys and Dolls laying here I can part with.

I haven't seen the Bettie Page at BL, but 1/2 Price books has had them for awhile. I THINK they're at $5.99, but I haven't paid much attention. I'll check the price next time I go in.
