But the forum is an enabler. And I need a support group.

Sometimes... If a newer, better release has come out since then, they can be worthless. A prime example: I have Big Trouble in Little China, the OOP 2-disc release, STILL SEALED, and I have received NO BIDS in the two attempts I have made to auction it at a low price. There still isn't a better DVD release out there, but because it is out on BD, the DVD isn't worth much anymore... I should have sold it before the BD came out...

Yep, and that's exactly my problem... I need to stop upgrading titles that I never watched on DVD, unless the extra features are far superior to the DVD release. I just bought Tombstone and Armageddon on BD, even though my sealed DVD's have considerably more features. But I couldn't pass up a good deal!

Apparently I got two movies with characters from "Friends" then because the title I was thinking of was "Fools Rush In".

Hmmm, not sure which one is more lame. You should buy The Pallbearer and have a trifecta of lame movies, each with a different guy from "Friends"...

Of course, but did you know the BD was going to be released? I could have sold my Batman and Batman Returns SE's for around $25 each before the BDs were announced, but who knew??

Also, IIRC, the BTLC 2-discer was in the WalMart $5 bin for a while....granted, it was a somewhat rare find, but it was there and was discussed in the DVDTalk WM thread.

Finally, you might have more luck selling used DVDs on half.com. There is no auction expiration, and you can see what the prevailing market is at any given point. You can also see how much the last one sold for....just my 2c.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've pondered that for a while. But i really don't want to sell my DVD's for 2 cents... ;)

Anybody have any idea what I should get with Charlie Chan TCM and Bob Hope thanks for memories. I can't think of another classic set to get in the 27 price range.

That's my problem. I'm having problems finding 3 DVDs for around the same price that are eligible with the sale that I want.

The Man With No Name Trilogy isn't part of this sale, apparently. :(

....that is.. until i found it at DD for 9.33.

Anyone else having trouble with the NASA link? It is only giving me 6% off instead of 11% off... I'll just use the Library link instead, for 10% off. It's strange though...

Well, I got one order in with the BBC sale prices combined with the B2G1F. I actually re-bought one item that I bought last week since I couldn't find a 3rd item. I'll just return that one to the store...

I hate to be a stinker here, but this "sale" is lookin' like 3 typical Blu-rays for about $50 + tax........not toooooo much of a deal, eh?

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

you have to choose among the sale blu ray like South Pacific, Away we go, Slumdog Millionaire, Love actually, Public enemies..
Anyone into The Muppet Show could find a decent deal there.

Where are you guys seeing the B2G1 advertised?
I'm not seeing it with any of the portals, and I tried adding 3 $40 titles to a cart and no other discounts beyond the various store discounts show up.

I'll be hitting at least one of the B&Ms today, but it sounds like you can swing an even better deal online- if the sale is actually on and they will allow the coupons + store discounts.

Shoot, I had been checking all day yesterday to get just that. Oh well. I guess I should have just bought that Doctor Who Beginning Collection when it was on sale.

I'm not seeing any banners either. I've got six titles in my cart, and none of them are discounted. Are people saying they have to be over $40?
