I used it on Dr. Zhivago.

Edit: Unless you meant the in-store one. I've always used those in-store with no problem. I bought a few Criterion Blu-rays with that coupon.

Not a bad deal on Get Smart the complete series if you use all the GSA discounts. It's the deal of the day for $99.99 B&N. With all discounts applied it's $71.19 before any sales tax.

Anyone interested might want to wait until tomorrow. This will be Amazon's TV deal of the day... They may or may not beat that price...

I couldn't see where if this code/link worked with preorders. I'm not getting to work but it seems like sometimes people have trouble the first time with this link.

The coupon doesn't appear to work with pre-orders but you should at least be able to get the 11% discount to apply. The coupon is supposed to expire June 1 and if whatever you want to pre-order is released before then you could always wait until it officially becomes available to place an order.

Just a heads up. You can get the new M Criterion BD for around $21, give or take a buck, using the GSA link and coupon code.

I've been going a little crazy with the 20% coupons and GSA. Some of the book prices cannot be beaten.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Maybe a silly question... but does the GSA coupon expire on or before June 1st? I'd like to get "Life" on Blu-Ray with all the discounts, but it doesn't come out until 6/1.

thoughts?

You're cutting it awfully close to the deadline to use it. Here is the information directly from the coupon when it is supposed to expire.

This coupon is valid from May 7, 2010 to June 1, 2010 at 2:59 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.

It says you have to use a government issued credit card. Anybody know if there could be any potential trouble for using the link and not being a federal employee?

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I personally am not gonna use the GSA link. It is not intended for public use. It shouldn't have been posted here. There is language on the IBM link that it is not supposed to be used either by non employees. That probably goes for some of the others.

If you mean the 3 for $20 BD's, then no. That promo and other similar promos don't work with the special discount links, for whatever reason.

For the GSA link??? Where do you see that? I can't find anything saying that.

I think he was referring to the information in post 1400. It mentions a government issued credit card used at B&N.com, but not specifically the GSA link. It appears they can also order from the regular web site and get a discount with a government issued card.

I didn't see anything at the GSA link asking or requiring a government credit card. You can order and pay like you normally can at B&N.com. Payment options are by credit or debit cards, gift cards, paypal, or pay by phone. They accept orders for personal or business use. If it is for business it is tax exempt.

Taken from post 1400:
From the Barnes & Noble website: Barnes & Noble.com is pleased to be a GSA Schedule contractor. Government employees may use GSA Schedule Number GS02F0025J to purchase from our huge online inventory of books.
Using your government-issued credit card, simply shop at Barnes & Noble.com and your GSA discount will automatically be applied at checkout. If you use another form of payment other than a government-issued credit card, contact our Government Support Team at [email protected] for additional ordering information.

Can GSA1020 only be used a certain number of times? It worked with my main account twice, but won't work anymore.

If you got it to work twice with an account you're lucky. It's supposed to be a one time per account coupon. I tried to do 2 orders as a guest and was rejected a second time with the same email.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Hmmm, weird. If I set up a new account with a new email address, will that work?

Edit: Just answered my own question. Yes, it will work.

Picked up "M" for $18.10 and "Red Cliff" for $17.15.

I had an order go through last week for "Doctor Zhivago" and it didn't charge me tax, but I felt dishonest about it and purposely made sure the order wasn't marked "tax exempt" for the other two.

That should work. However if you start a new account you may want to use the 20% coupon code for making a first purchase before the GSA code. Why let that go to waste. You can also order and use the coupon as a guest without creating an account.

Edit: Looks like it's too late for the new account coupon.
