Seems multiple use varies account to account and to specific coupons. I tried C8U7B7C and M3A3M4P on one of my accounts and they come up redeemed after using them once, but another account M3A3M4P is working a second time.

What are you guys ordering with these coupons, just out of curiosity? It's hard for me to find really good deals on B&N because they're usually so overpriced to begin with, but that price on Mad Men s2 is the best I've seen anywhere.

It would depend upon the store and the persons working there if they would let you use the coupons multiple times. The person working at my local store had no problems letting me use a $5 off and 20% coupon with my purchase the other day. I may go back a few more times since they were letting me use the $5 off on $19.99 titles.

Where did you get the 20% off coupon? I've only seen the online one.

It must be YMMV because my BN wouldn't let me stack the 15% off coupon(that expired the other day) and the $5 off coupon. He said I could only use one coupon per order or something. Of course, I only bought one DVD.

TO ALL: Just used V7P9T8N linking through my DISCOVER card (always 10% cashback at B&N.com). Also, I'm one of the lucky ones who was able to use M3A3M4P three times on the same account.
TO doctorthodt and ALL: Since you asked, I've found that my B&N membership, coupled with the above-mentioned DISCOVER link, consistently gives me lower prices on everything -- DVDs, CDs, books -- than Amazon or any other online store. I order mostly books, but I just pre-ordered the upcoming Beatles Stereo Box (of remastered - finally - CDs) for around $150 (with 5% tax). Amazon is selling it for $204 (list is $260). As for books, I always end up with much better deals here, regardless of genre. On large items, like a recent order of Greenwood's 4 volume set of folktales, the savings are astronomical (in this case, about $110 over Amazon who always sells such things at list price). Those are extreme examples, but even on regular old DVDs and books I do better at B&N. (Oh, and in a bit of irony, one of the options at DISCOVER for redeeming one's cashback bonus is a $25 Borders gift card -- for $20!! So, online I buy at B&N, and in-store I buy at Borders and B&N.)
TO LASER: Again, a big thank you for all your efforts. I mean, a BIG thank you!

Doh, I put these in the wrong thread, so will ask these in the proper thread. Haven't used B&N much lately, and all the recent threads/posts have me slightly confused.
Is there any way to use more than one renewal coupon? On one account?
I'm a former member, figure I'll renew and grab a few Criterions, but want to maximize my coupon usage.
And if I read everything right, the AAA or military links won't help if I'm a member and spend $25+, so I might as well log in thru Bing in the off chance that it works. Right? Wait, do you have to log-in thru Discover to get the Discover cash back?

Sorry but it is a one time shot with the online renewal coupons. The codes will not activate on your account unless you have a membership you are renewing, and item you want to purchase in your cart. After you purchase the item and membership you cannot use another code. However after you renew you could use the printable renewal coupons at a B&N store. Currently there are a 20% and 15% available on the first page.
You are correct. If you become a member the AAA and military.com links are not useful on orders over $25 since the current discounts they offer do not stack with a B&N membership. The free shipping offer at military.com and Visa links though are useful for orders that do not qualify for free shipping on the regular B&N web site since that will combine with a B&N membership.
If your order qualifies for free shipping you can use one of the rebate sites like Bing, but lately they are not very reliable. Since the Criterion sale started I have not received a single cashback rebate on 4 orders. Also I have not received anything through fatwallet either. I don't have a Discover card, so I'm not positive how that one works. I thought I remember a post saying you had to log into Discover's site.

I called Discover and figured out some things. They do have the extra 10% cashback for B&N, but you have to go thru their shopping portal. Also, they have a summer promotion of 5% cashback on a few categories including bookstores. So using the card in-store or at any other portal will bring an extra 5% back, or a total of 15% if you use their portal.
So people are successful in using the renewal 20% and 15% coupons in-store even without a renewal at that transaction? Good to know.
I have $200 or so in B&N giftcards, so will pick up a few Criterions both online and in-store.

Do you think there is any chance Discover would issue retroactive credit for B&N transactions not made through the portal?

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
I've used V7P9T8N six times through my member account since it was activated. Testing now, it will still work for me. I'm feeling too guilty to go for a lucky number seven, and wonder if proper etiquette requires me to send B&N a nice thank you card.
I've placed all my orders through the FatWallet cashback (that does work with coupons, right?) and bought Criterion box sets, but it also works without a link and on normal discs. Does anybody have any theories on why these glitches only affect certain accounts?

The military link is a great non-member option, but doesn't stack with the 10% member discount. I had been using the 10% Bing (formerly Live) cashback, but I haven't been credited for my last few with-coupon purchases. I switched to Fatwallet a few days ago, which was 8% when I signed up, but has since fallen back to 6%.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2
Today I used the 20% off coupon to pre-order REPULSION BR and BRAZIL. Usually when I use a B&N coupon, it takes the discount off the more expensive title, but today it took it off BRAZIL. I wonder if that has anything to do with REPULSION being a pre-order.

Yes that's why. Pre-orders are not eligible with the 20% coupons. I had put a disclaimer in bold on the first page with all the coupons that are not eligible with pre-orders.
