Is this new trend? I tried getting the Goblet of Fire Ultimate BD and got the same message. Yikes. So now they are eliminating coupons for a good portion of their movies?

I got it to work with The Treasure of the Sierra Madre blu-ray.

I was going through all the other codes last night and besides that one, they were all saying that item wasn't eligible for the coupon.

B&N has done this in the past online with DVD and blu-ray titles. They have done this with the Criterion sale a few times, and about a month ago with other select titles. It's not a new trend. It's possible the restrictions may drop off in a few days.

Looks like they are specifically targeting titles in the Kids 40% DVD/Blu-ray sale with the restrictions this time.

I have been getting that message on several coupons that I have since removed from the list. Not matter what I tried or added to my cart it would say my order wasn't eligible. I believe B&N did it to basically deactivate the coupons.

Was this email for a membership or former membership account? I have received free membership emails before on B&N accounts that never had a membership. So if that is the case I would consider it common.

It was for a new account. I just never heard of them offering TWO months free before. In any case I'm not going to sign up as I am already sharing a membership.

If you have a membership you can use both member and non member coupons.

By the way if you need a store coupon I probably have some extras to spare. Just getting around to see what I have this morning.

Yes, you can check the coupon value without using it. I basically do it all the time with coupons to make sure they are working before posting the codes on the first page.

I went through my coupons and have 7 to give away. Because coupons are scarce at the moment I'll try to save these for DVDTalk forum members. I have four 15% codes and three 20% codes, one of the 20% is for members. If you want a coupon let me know. I can send either the code or a link to print a store coupon.

I only got one email so far, and I actually scored a 50%!!!! I am SOOO shocked! If the online coupon is 50%, then the store one should also be 50% right? I have absolutely no idea what to get. I do have some cheap stuff in my wish list, but I don't want to waste a 50% coupon on cheap stuff. I gotta find something big worth getting... I was thinking Torchwood Miracle Day, but it is a pre-order right now. Maybe I could do a Ship to Home on it...
