Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Father's day items do indeed seem to trump b2g1 items. Sadly however, a huge number of 50% off titles expired overnight and are now just 10% off or thereabouts.

Would much rather have seen b&n skip this mediocre sale and keep those discounts in place. Ah well, you snooze you lose as they say...

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

Surprisingly, have seen some BD prices drop after the B2G1 started. I'm not a member anymore, so I'm referrring to "online price", but for example, "A Bug's Life" was $37.99 and dropped to $33.99; "Weeds S4" dropped from $33.99 to $31.99.

I was getting antsy waiting for certain sales to (probably) start, so I placed an order through the military link with a 15% code. Got "A Bug's Life", "Gran Torino" and "Weeds S4" all on BD for just under $19.00 each (after my 5% MasterCard discount).

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

I was considering getting a Bug's Life on blu-ray before the B2G1F sale started but the price went way up Monday. It was going for $28.99 members price before the sale. I wonder if it will go down a little more. Most of the prices suck on regular DVDs but I might consider buying some blu-rays if I can get them around $15 or less.

I'm glad I ordered before they ended the fox fifty percent off sale. I place an order for 12 disks and finished my noir collection except I need I wake Up screaming which wasn't on sale. It was only 4.70 a disk.

Actually this sale is better.....Buy 2 Get 1 Free...plus just got 15% off any item (which you can print twice). Plus I am a member (10% off total).

Not to mention have a lot of money in gift cards.

All around WIN WIN. :)

I found the 15% coupon link online. It is a member's coupon:
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/email/...?r=1&PID=28425

And here is a 10% printable coupon for non-members...

Looks like I got my wish on a Bug's Life today. Back down to $28 for members. Have to see if I can find a few more titles to get the B2G1F offer.

Good catch! I'll have to scour for other good deals now...

The best was the buy 2 get 1 with the fox sale. I was searching through the fox classics that were reduced to 6.79 and 8.99 and I couldn't get any more orders in before they changed the prices. I focused on the fox noirs first and ran out of time.

Thought I would give the thread a bump since it has fallen back a few pages.

For once, I've a contribution to the thread, rather than a question ;)

Through tonight there's a special Father's Day coupon code , K3N9P9W , that takes 50% off the list price of one book for dads and/or one for kids that has the label "Father's Day Books -- Shop Now" next to it. Since it's off the list price, it works best for non-members as well as for titles that are not normally heavily discounted. (Basically, if you're a member and the book is 35% or more discounted already, you're better off using one of the two 15% off codes that expires tonight.)

I just used the code to get Lords of Finance, a book I've been eying that is rarely discounted ( 9781594201820 ) , and a cute looking kid's book called Say Daddy! ( 9781585363544 ) . The two titles combine are sufficient for free shipping, and you can stack the 10% cashback from bing.com , thereby ending up with better than half off the list prices shipped even if you need to pay tax.

The coupon expires tonight at midnight pacific time...hope this helps someone!

Thought I would mention there is a new 20% online coupon coming up later this week that appears everyone can use. Should be valid from June 19, 2009 to June 23 at 2:59 a.m. Eastern Time. It will probably start working June 18. However I do not know if it will work through the bookstore links yet.

Excellent! I just received a $25 GC in the mail today, so it's good timing...

Too bad I didn't see drh4's post about the 50% off coupon in time. They have a book I wanted to get...

For anyone who didn't get Three Stooges v6 from Amazon with the coupon, B&N has it for 15.74 for members now. I'm going to use the 15% coupon, so after tax will get it for $14.13. Slightly cheaper than Amazon, plus I can use my gift card and get faster shipping (since I don't have Amazon Prime)

I don't want to seem too greedy here, but is it possible to use both the bing.com 10% discount at the same time as the 6% military portal?

Thanks.

You would have to use one or the other, but not both since they are different links. No way to combine the links together. Also would you rather have the discount immediately at military.com, or wait a few months for a rebate through bing.

Dr Horrible's singalong blog is like $8 + tax for members with 15% coupon (and one of the free shipping links)

I just gave the 20% code a test tonight and it is now active! It also works through the bookstore links.

Re: Barnes And Noble Coupon Thread Part 2

It's a good coupon to use with the current b2g1f sale. I notice B&N has lowered prices of the current bestsellers back to 30% off since there is a shortage of members coupons at the moment. However that might not last long with the coupon getting activated.

Thanks for the new coupon!! Just an FYI......AAA link no longer provides blanket Free Shipping, now it must be over $25 again.

Oy Vey. It's not working for me. First time this has ever happened. I've tried multiple items in my cart (book, DVD, cd) and it will not work no matter what I put into the cart. It says "Your order does not qualify for coupon..."

I'll hold off and try it again tomorrow.

I checked again this morning and it was still working with my members account. I tested it at both military.com and the regular B&N portal with a DVD in my cart. I would assume it would work through any of the other links as well. I have not tested the coupon with a non-members account to confirm it works, but the fine print mentions "for each customer" which would indicate it is not a members only code.

The coupons are really pitiful. I haven't purchased a book at a B&N store since Christmas. Definitely not renewing this membership.
