Now it's just over $100, so even if I get a 50% off (big IF ime), I'll still pay $5 more than I would have. Oh well, I guess it's all gambling.

Just FYI, the 50% off book coupons are usually taken off of MSRP. So 30% off of the discounted $70 price would probably have been a better bet.

Thanks for providing the 30% off coupon. You can get The Walking Dead: SE BD for around $20 shipped.

Tardo,

That set at that price was when it first came out back in october. Was planning to get it at that price at their B&M store in Evanston, IL but they wouldn't price-match their website and they charged MSRP on it at their b&m store, so I went to best buy and got it there for 80...which shows the b&m BN charges standard MSRP and online, it varies in price.

I'm glad it worked for someone else. I was able to get 3 email addresses activated with the link. However one may have already been shutdown after the first email. The email said I needed to click any link to keep receiving offers from B&N. I did that but they seem to stop coming after the first one. The other email addresses have already received several more B&N promotions since the first ones started coming. These could come in handy if B&N sends out more unique code coupon offers in the future.

Is there any way to get free shipping on a below $25 offer without either a membership or a mastercard?

Unfortunately not anymore. Since the discount and bookstore links went away about a year ago that offered no minimum free shipping the only way to still get it is with a membership, or with Mastercard coupon posted on the first page.

Unless they offer free no minimum shipping, I don't think it is possible. Better just to buy just a really cheap item after signing up for a trial 2 month membership if you're going to be using coupons more than once.

Here's an item under a dollar:

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/six-...6266008&itm=15

Or you could just buy an e gift card of any amount.

Thanks for the info. So far I've only gotten the first e-mail, but I looked it over carefully and there was nothing about needing to click anything else in order to receive more. There was a link to unsubscribe, but that was it. I added B&N to my contact list and so hopefully more e-mails will come soon. I'll post if/when they do.

Wait a second, you can buy an egift card and have it count toward the $25 mark for free shipping? Holy crap, I have a lot of orders to place then! That's a great way to use the 30% off coupon on multiple accounts without meeting the free shipping minimum. With each subsequent order, I can use the GC purchased with the previous order. I had no idea yhou could do that...

Yeah, it doesn't work as I just tried it. Oh yeah on the e-gift card thing, the minimum amount you have to purchase is $10.

The authors were initially only selling the books direct at full price with high shipping, but now both Amazon and B&N are carrying it- at an already good discount.
with the coupon, it comes to $24- more than 50% off.
After seeing it, I can honestly say if you're a fan of the movie, it's easily worth full price and half off is a steal.

The only downside is, the first copy I got in came beat to hell. I'm trying my luck with another order, but I'm not expecting to be able to score a VF/NM copy of this for the price.

Just a suggestion for anyone else mostly caught up on their DVD/Bd purchases.

Thanks, I didn't know this was now selling at major retailers. Hopefully my copy isn't beat up. Jaws is my favorite film so I had to get it. I would like the hardcover edition with the piece of the Orca, but no way I can spend $250 on it.

Back down to 8%. It was a BF promotion. Hopefully they will pump it back up for Cyber Monday.

Went into the B&N that replaced the media section with a toy/play area. They have a few shelves of dvd titles near the entrance and by the coffee shop, including a nice Criterion section. However, no blu-rays in sight - just dvds.

This is probably a fairly simple question, but if there is a 30% off sticker on a DVD in a B&N store, and I have a 30% coupon, what does my 30% off coupon take the price off of (msrp or the 30% off price)? thanks

Comes off the 30% price. If you have a membership the 30% coupon comes off after the 30% sticker and the 10% member discount.
