Nice! Just found the other 30% coupon I thought was out there. Good only online and also valid for all customers. Added it to the first page.

Nope. This bizarre practice still persists. Most items are MSRP in-store, but discounted online.

Example: Rushmore is available online at a 16% discount, but is full-priced in-store. If you inquire about "matching", they'll look at you like you're nuts.

Correct about the price matching but incorrect about the prices in stores. All movies 39.99 and up are discounted 10% in stores. That is NOT the member discount. That's an additional 10%. So Rushmore would be 10% off. And when they have a sale the same items can be discounted in store but usually not as much.

Ah...I did not know that. So it would be $39.99 - 10% - 10% - 30%....

I'm not a member and I normally use the AAA discount. However, I've been trying to apply the 30% coupon, -E7U4N9X, -and it just isn't working. I put the code in the Coupon Code box and hit Submit Discount and the code goes away but I don't get the discount, nor any indication of why its not accepted. What am I doing wrong?

Nope, not until Friday. I just found out the hard way.

Don't know if you're a fan of the movie Jaws or not, but a phenomenal book got released earlier this year- Jaws: Memories Of Martha's Vineyard. Huge paperback the size of the Making Of Star Wars books, but with about 5 times the amount of pictures and beautiful layout/design. The authors were initially only selling the books direct at full price with high shipping, but now both Amazon and B&N are carrying it- at an already good discount.
with the coupon, it comes to $24- more than 50% off.
After seeing it, I can honestly say if you're a fan of the movie, it's easily worth full price and half off is a steal.

The only downside is, the first copy I got in came beat to hell. I'm trying my luck with another order, but I'm not expecting to be able to score a VF/NM copy of this for the price.

Just a suggestion for anyone else mostly caught up on their DVD/Bd purchases.

Try clearing all your B&N cookies first, and then log back in again. I think what you did wrong was go through the AAA web site. A lot of times when I go through the AAA site I have the same problem with coupons. By the way if you want the AAA discount in the future you can always get the coupon code off the first page of this thread and save the hassle from having to go through their web page.

I asked about that in store today and was told Dec. 6th...somehow I thought it was sooner.

Regarding coupon usage after cancellation: This happened to me in store recently and they told me there is a window of about 20-30 minutes where they can cancel an order before it is taken over by fulfillment in their warehouse. No option after that period passes. I cancelled my order and was able to reuse the 16 digit emailed coupon code.

I clicked the Cancel option online only 10 minutes after placing my order. They still went ahead and processed it. Perhaps if I had called instead of doing it online, it would have worked.

BTW, Community S2 is on sale for $18.39 ($12.87 with 30% coupon). Seeing as I got S1 for about the exact same price last year, I'm gonna order this and continue the trend... Amazon has it for $13.99, but B&N wins even after tax cuz of cashback, and I have the B&N MC...

Always remember about 90-95% of the time, B&N brick and mortar stores will charge their MSRP on the items in the store versus it being cheaper online. I found that out the hard way when i went to get the Honeymooners Lost Episiodes DVD set, whereas they only charged 85 bucks online versus 130 at the store for that same item, which is their standard MSRP. If shopping at B&N, compare and contrast their site to the store as they WON'T price match off their website.

I've been tracking the Honeymooners Lost Episodes set and B&N has been charging $92.24 for quite some time now. You're seeing $85.00?

The prices are so jacked up that I can't find any bargains, even using the 30% off coupon.

I have to thank LASERMOVIES , I tried the coupon link yesterday and a couple hours ago I finally got the E7U4N9X coupon e-mail. Hopefully this will continue, it's off to a promising start.

I've been seeing B&N's prices bouncing all around. But I'm frustrated with myself over a $125.00 MSRP book. They were staying competitive with Amazon and had it at about $70, but I kept hoping to get a 50% off coupon and didn't use a 30%. Now it's just over $100, so even if I get a 50% off (big IF ime), I'll still pay $5 more than I would have. Oh well, I guess it's all gambling.

If anyone has an interest in Spaghetti Westerns, this set looks like a good deal. Online it's $17.99, in store I saw it for $20 after the 50% off sticker discount is applied. I'm thinking of getting it but still procrastinating.

10 discs, 20 movies.
