I've noticed this as well. The music section still is there but they made it harder to find. However I'm wondering if this is the start to eventually phase out selling CDs in the future. I noticed more CD titles on my wishlist are no longer available to order.

If it helps I bookmarked a link to the CD section. Maybe I can add it somewhere to the first page.

I hope that you're right. When I reserved F & A, the e-mail confirmation did say $30. However, when I reserved TCT today, the e-mail confirmation listed it as $39.99.

I just bought the Blu of Three Colors. It rang up as $39.99, not $40.00. Was still able to use the $8 coupon though.

Thanks. I doubt anyone will argue with you over a penny but you never know.

You can now reserve it online.

If you wait a few days there should be a few new store/online coupons coming that should work for the Three Colors set. It appears a new set of 15 and 20% coupons should arrive by November 17 and are valid through the weekend. Hopefully they are generic coupons anyone can use.

Good to know. I'll hold out.

The Criterion sale ends on the 30th, right?

oops. The sale is always 3 weeks long and this one started on Nov. 1st. When in doubt check the threads and/or ask; it's been posted here numerous times and someone will gladly share the dates. Also, you can always check B&N. If a new title is to be released during the sale it will be half off online. If it's not half off it's to be released after the sale.

So do we think the coupons will come out tonight or Thursday like they usually do? I am hoping my parents get one of these cause they just signed up for the Borders thing couple weeks ago and got the 30% coupon.

I think you quoted the wrong post. However I'll try to answer your question.

With the latest 30%/40% Borders coupons for new B&N members my guess is they may start sending those out tonight or tomorrow. I have no idea who will get them this time around.

The next 15%/20% coupons are due Thursday. I may run across those tomorrow and post them on the first page if they are regular coupons everyone can use.

If I get a coupon, I'll probably buy 1 more title, probably Aki Kauriskmaki's Proletariat Trilogy. I COULD go for the Paul Robeson set or Berlin Alexanderplatz, but I just feel like Berlin will get an upgrade at some point. I seriously doubt Robeson will.

Nice. Nothing for me yet. Let me be the first to put my name in the hat for any codes that folks won't be using.

I don't have anything yet. In case I don't get it, I'll add myself to the list of scroungers (please and thank you).

I'm throwing it out there for a discount code if someone's not going to use one. Thanks.

They, and a lot of others are, likewise. Reports last week say that 2012 may be the end of the CD.

"A music industry insider says that the CD format will be killed off next year to make way for digital-only music sales.
A report by Sideline claims that the major labels will stop pressing CDs by the end of 2012 as a result of falling sales and the growing popularity of digital stores. It says that special edition albums, and those from the biggest artists, will continue on CD. Sideline fall short of revealing their source, or providing an official statement.
We find these claims hard to believe. Digital music accounts for only 29% of album sales, and while vinyl is seeing a resurgence, it remains a tiny portion of the industry. CDs certainly face a decline in sales, but it is too early for major labels to pull the plug on a format which still generates a significant income for the industry".

Would appreciate a coupon. I want to buy the Monterey Pop boxset and 30-40% off makes a huge diff on that since it's $35.

I signed up 10 email accounts earlier this morning using the signup at the bottom of the page as recommended upstream but I don't think I'm getting anything this round.

Still hoping that I will get one of the 30% off coupons this mailing.

For all the new releases I've bought during the sale online, they have always been delayed. Has this happened to anyone else?
