Received my Space 1999 BD set today. I had used two Groupons on that order. My c/c appears to have been correctly charged. If they try to charge me more after the fact, I will raise holy hell...

I had 3, when I went to use one tonight, it said it had already been redeemed. So I checked the other two at B&N's gift card value checker, and they both show zero balance. So all 3 have been zero'ed out. Then I went to check my credit card online, and I didn't get a credit from Groupon to reverse out the purchase on them. GRRR

Does anyone know if you can just take them to a store and buy a GC, or will they get voided at POS?

Easiest option is to just make 2 seperate orders with the groupons and make sure they are as close to $20 as possible. Then when your orders ship to your house return them for store credit/gc.

Oh yeah, use them quickly otherwise they'll get wiped out. I've heard some stories about stores not accepting them too. But if it still shows $20 in the online gift balance checker use them now otherwise they might be gone.

Mine all still have their balance, but I ordered them from different groupon accounts (I hit up my mom, dad, girlfriend, her son, etc... it's an addiction!)

So how many people still have orders in "security review"? I still haven't heard the verdict on my order. I'd like to get it over with, so I know whether or not I need to re-order any of the items from that order.

On one account, I purchased two Groupons. Both are unused. As of this morning, one is intact, but the other now shows a $0 balance.

Latest word from Groupon Support is that the refunds will take about 10 business days to post.

I am in the same boat w/2 orders. It is really annoying b/c I would gladly use a single Groupon to get at least one item in each order (Army of Shadows and Bridge on the River Kwai) that is being held.

I think I may just print out my coupons and start buying stuff, one $20 (or so) disc at a time in different stores.

Mine's is still in limbo. I haven't received any email that updates the status. I might have to call CSR again. It's the only one I have in the dreaded security review. I made a bunch of orders the other day using one groupon at a time and they all received shipping numbers.

It's that one that I used 3 that the big pain in the ass.

I still have one in Security Review involving two Groupon accounts with two B&N GCs per account. So far no updates.

I did make two other orders using GCs that were part of the Groupon accounts tied up in the security review. Both shipped.

The charges for the 2 orders I placed using multiple Groupons appeared on my card today and, I'm happy to say, they did not void the Groupons and bill me for the full amount. I placed 2 orders on the first day of the Groupons so I must have been early enough to avoid the security reviews. This turned out to be a heck of deal: 20% back on the Groupon purchases, 10% off the entire B&N order via AAA, and 10% of the B&N order back via Shopdiscover.

I had 10 remaining Groupons out of which 5 were voided this morning. Now I'm going to have fight Groupon for a refund. What a crock of shit.

No, you just got lucky. The order I have flagged for security review was the very first order I placed, which I made the morning this Groupon deal was first posted. My orders after that all went through, but the first one was nailed.

Ok, I just got off the phone with bn csr and they said my order was validated and will ship out whenever they have the product at the warehouse. They did ask me if I purchased the items with groupons, I answered I'm not sure. I just have to wait for the darned thing to get back in stock and it'll ship out according to the csr.

This CSR didn't know that my order had been put on security review.

Anyway, did you guys call the CSR? It might at least expedite the process a little faster. Out of curiosity, for those with canceled groupons, are you guys contacting groupon for credit back to your cc or just contacting your cc for a chargeback?

So, IMO it might be best to just call CSR and see what's up with your order. Anyway according to a sd thread, the CSR number is more useful than the other number that sends you to the security audit section.

I think I'm going to contact Groupon after I've used my 5 remaining Groupons.

A crock of shit? Yes, but I don't think we'll have to fight them for a refund. Just give it a few days, and I 'spect we'll see the credit on our statements.

Soooo... Do I have to do anything to be refunded or are they automatically taking care of it?

Just tried calling Customer Service and went to the "Manage Existing Order" option and after I put in my order number it transferred directly over to the audit team again.

Does anyone know the answer to this question? If I purchased a membership, used it for a preorder and then cancel the membership within 30 days, will my benefits still apply to this order? I would expect them to apply, but I want to make sure. Thanks!

Yes, the member benefits should still apply unless the order gets canceled before it ships.

Thanks! I wanted to be a member for various reasons - especially Criterion sales, but their horrendous online customer service is making me reconsider throwing them $25.

I successfully converted my one remaining Groupon to a gift-card today in-store. There's one that won't be getting zero'ed out.

Get Bambi BD/DVD combo for $12.79 with $10.00 coupon W3U3X4T. Thanks to Ashamed Pegasus at blu-ray.com.

Note: it is the blu-ray packaging, it doesn't work on the DVD packaging combo (which for some reason costs more to begin with).

Strange things afoot. I tried canceling my order in Security Review, but they wouldn't let me. Then a few hours later they said I had to confirm an extension on my order within 24 hours or it'd be canceled. Well, when THEY offered to cancel it it felt like a trick, so I went ahead and confirmed. In any case, they claim it'll ship when the items are back in stock, but they ARE in stock. I imagine that text is just form letter BS. Anyone have any advice?

You should have cancelled when you had the chance. It doesn't make sense to confirm you want an order after trying to cancel it.
