Thanks for the info Lasermovies.

Non-member; not going to use mine. The only store here is a town away and for 15% off, not really worth it.

So, enjoy...

Went back to the store and used the 50% off coupon to pre-order Star Wars: The Complete Saga on Blu-ray for $45. I added a bargain book and used the $5 off $50 purchase coupon.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the clerk's amazement that I got not one, but TWO 50% off coupons. She said every single other person today had only received 15% off. She said I was "lucky." LOL

Interesting idea. Of course, you have the pay for it now when you do ship to home, so you're paying for it 8 months in advance, but it's a killer price...

Um, then why not just use one of the 50% off coupons posted? Would it be worth the drive then?

I wasn't aware of that when I ordered and didn't think to ask until after I had already paid. I decided it wasn't a big deal; I have the money and won't get a better deal. I tried to get the B2G1 deal with it too but was refused because it won't be available while the sale is going on. Still, I had to try.

I'm not going to bother adding this to the first page but I ran across another coupon for 19% off. Expires tomorrow.

yep and jerks on there are already plotting to buy stuff for resell, stuff like this just ruins it for everybody. I can't head to B&N until Sunday but it might be killed off by then.

19% Off is such a random discount, lol.

---

Sucks people are buying stuff to resell. I don't mind people going in and reusing these coupons on different purchases that they actually want because if Barnes & Noble wanted to avoid that they could easily put in place some sort of preventative measures. But buying stuff like this on the cheap just to resell is pretty underhanded.

How does one do a ship to home order? Do I just go the local Barnes and Noble and ask them to order something for me to ship to home? I want to order Public Enemy #1 with a 50% off coupon since I don't think that one will be going on sale any time soon. What's the sucess rate on doing this in store?

And yeah slickdeals suck when they kill stuff like this because of the hoarders. Just be glad that this wasn't an online 50% off, that would have been dead by now.

I've never been shot down using coupons for ship-to-home orders. I just ask the employee if they have the dvd/bd in stock and if it's not they always offer to place the order for me. I placed 3 separate orders today and they took the coupon each time and applied the B2G1. Two of the items were pre-orders as well.

........

Already received emails saying 3 of my blu-rays are shipping out tomorrow.

Is there a Ship-to-Store option, or just the Pick Me Up option? Titles I'm looking at cost more in-store than they do online, making even the 50% coupon seem like less of a bargain.

My online mystery discount coupon won't work. It keeps saying the code is invalid. Did anybody else have this problem?

They identify that person as Anthony, not my name. :(

Just as I expected: the email NOT associated with my previous BN membership is the one that got the mystery discount offer. That discount was 30% off when I compared the store code to the full set Laser posted here. So if you ask me, coupons go to fresh clients that BN wants to entice into making a purchase, not their established customer base.

Apparently it is a New York coupon, and it's 19% off because there were 19 inches of snow in New York the other day. At least, that's what the email I got says.

God damn it. I wish there was a B&N close to me.

Can you a call a store with the coupon and ask them to ship it home? I am a member, FWIW, so S&H should be free.

Wow, I will definitely be trying that.

I hope everyone will continue to post what they get using the coupon. With just using the 60% off and not trying to add additional coupons since it's YMMV with that, I'd like to see if anyone is truly getting a great buy when compared to Amazon given that B&N often charges full MSRP.

I'm going to the store tonight to see if anything looks good. Thanks always to Laser for his invaluable contributions to this thread.

You must be kidding. It isn't just the 50% coupon and member discount. When combined with the B2G1 sale and the current set of member coupons, Amazon can't touch the prices I'm getting at B&N.

So when you order in store, you get the online price? I ask because the online price is almost always less than the in-store price which is usually MSRP.

Was able to combine the B2G1 with the 50% coupon, after some initial puzzlement on the part of the cashier. Maltese Falcon, Treasure of the Sierra Madre and Apocalypse Now (2-disc) for $41.10 total. Not bad. Other than pre-orders, that takes care of my entire wish-list, so I'm pleased.

Also, titles 39.99+ already get 10% off. So the $40 MSRP titles will ring up as $16.19 for members, and that is before doing B2G1F. This is a SMOKING deal, IMO.
