I am planning a smaller order, only if its cheaper then on amazon. since on amazon I don't get hit with customs. With DD its almost a guarantee to get hit.
I am going to wait and see. I was planning on ordering around $400.00 worth, but going from $5.95 to $90.00 for shipping is way over board in my opinion.

I'm bummed that "The Last Emperor" is out of stock.

Edit: Whoops, I meant "Seven Samurai."

Oh if they changed their rates to Canada that just killed my interest in this website...

I was probably going to make an order for a $1000 or so but I think I'll hold off now. The shipping is just too much.

Does dvdempire have really high shipping? If not I'll probably just get everything from there.

Edit: Or is it DVDplanet that has the rival 20% off sale?

It is. However, as with DD - it seems nothing is guaranteed until it's announced.

There's a $3 coupon for Semi-Pro you can use to buy it at the store and bring the price down to near DD sale price depending what version you get.

The lowest price is at Circuit City for $13.99 before $3 coupon.

Use $3 coupon for Semi-Pro to bring it down to DVD ($10.99) or 2-Disc ($19.99) or Blu-Ray ($26.99). Price is after coupon is used.

DD no longer ships orders to Canada for the flat fee of $5.95

List of Codes

Do we have a list of codes to use for the sale and if so, can it be edited into the first post for quick reference?

Don't worry, the codes will certainly be listed on page 1 (when available).

Nice way to completely disrespect all the contributors of useful info here. Your interest in this website was dependent on DD's shipping rates to Canada?

Doesn't mean that Canadians can't order from the U.S. website if they choose to do so.

When Amazon first put their Canadian site on line, I often ordered from them for better prices, some different editions, etc, but their shipping rates went up a lot, so I haven't ordered from them in several years. Sounds as if that's what's happening for our Canadian friends and DD.

Isn't it only pre-orders that aren't included? IIRC, out of stock items were still part of the sale.

Never said that they couldn't or shouldn't.

MY thinking was that if the Canadian site is still up & running, are they too participating in this sale (or running the Canadian equivalent of it)?

Yeah, the DD Canada site was even more out of whack than the Amazon situation.

BTW, I was sure that before DD had "More Than $300.00" the postage was $90.00. Not it has $99.95. Or was I seeing things before?
