$45 shipped for Potemkin, Metropolis and Birth of a Nation is pretty satisfying.
I had to talk myself out of the Griffith box. I could live without owning Broken Blossoms, Orphans and the Biograph shorts set, though I would have liked to get Intolerance. I know I'll be kicking myself sometime down the line, but for now I'm happy. For anyone who was wondering, the Griffith box is back in stock. |

some deals i don't care about it's also good to have one compiled thread too though |
I'm taking the plunge on the American Silent Horror Collection to get THE MAN WHO LAUGHS and the doc. I hope the other three movies are good as well. For the price it is hard to beat a collection like this.

I think I'll pick up Escape 2000. I couldn't warrant spending fifteen on this, but six I will do!

Crap. I forgot Blow Out.

Both collections are awfully tempting to buy at $25 does anyone know if the prints of the films are high quality? |

For those who don't know, The Man Who Laughs was the influence for the facial design of the Joker in the 1989 Batman. |

It appears there have been two single releases of Robin Hood, one by Image (1999) and one by Kino (2004). This set and the Kino disc both have the same release date so I'd assume this is the same transfer/disc. |

I'm also considering the American Silent Horror Collection. Are these good versions of these movies? Mostly concerned with picture quality.

what is the difference between the "Cliff Notes" versions? Is it just the artwork.
